LFAB, my little granddaughter was the same when she was about three. She suddenly developed a stammer. My daughter spoke to her Health Visitor who told her to monitor it. To be honest, I wasn't concerned. I thought it was because she had suddenly acquired a large vocabulary and she was over eager to use it. A few months later, her stammer just disappeared. We made a point of not drawing attention to it or saying words for her.
HTH. xSame here, when DS was little they were concerned about his speech for a while, but a few months later it totally rectified its self:)TrulyMadly wrote: »We had this with DD when he was 2. I'm sure it will all be fine:)
Thanks for the replies guys.
I wasn't overly concerned to start with, we just put it down to what you've all mentioned. The only thing is I've noticed that shes's noticed that she's doing it iykwim and then she goes quiet and won't say anything..
Hopefully she will just grow out of it, I think because I'm aware of it now I'm noticing it more myself. Just hope we don't have to wait too long for the referral.
Thanks again guys...those who mind don't matter, and those who matter don't mind.

DS1 who will be 3 in April does something similar. He's got a brilliant vocabulary but occasionally will repeat same word or words over and over (eg 'I want' :rotfl:) and it seems that he can't seem to get the next word out. This will happen even when the next word is one he is familiar with. He seems to get frustrated but we just wait for him to finish what he is trying to say and don't make any reference to it. I just guessed it would resolve itself when he didn't have to concentrate so much on what he was trying to say.
Sorry, haven't got any advice about it really, just wanted to let you know that your DD is not the only one. Let us know how you get on
Yeah that sounds very similar to my DD. Thanks for your reply
Kinda feel I'm making mountains out of molehills now
But the HV was really good and said it wasn't a problem to make the referral just hope they don't think I'm wasting their time now....those who mind don't matter, and those who matter don't mind.

Hi guys,
I hope you don't mind me joining? I've come across this thread and have really been enjoying reading it! I'm in NI too and have been trying to use my APGs to full advantage for some time. I used to do couponing in the good old days and recently have been sucked back in .
This photo made me laugh.......I'm in this store about 3 times a week and have never noticed this giant banner (do of course have one of the leaflets in my bag at all times....just in case!!)
Is this banner on the way up from the underground car park....? That probably explains why I've never seen it as I always park up top.
I've always found SH great for coupons and APGs......unlike BF however.....far too many trouts over there !
Now I've found yas, hopefully I'll be able to contribute something....:)
Yes that's exactly where it is. This time of the year I park underground so I don't run the risk of the wind blattering my car door into someone elses. During the summer I park underground so the car doesn't over heat. Ok so I never park up top, mainly because my car doesn't agree with the steep incline on the ramp!
SH has been useless for coupons until very recently. They refused anything that wasn't a safe coupon or from their own magazines. BF on the other hand is a store I would rarely venture into. I don't know but since they gave it a refurb, the selection is poor and the staff are very rude.No one can make you feel inferior without your consent ~ Eleanor Roosevelt0
