'Think of the thread as a tree, many branches to it, and not all of us, need all the branches, but we do need the tree!' - midwinter
New overflow thread for 11+ers
THE FOLLOWING IS COPIED FROM ORIGINAL FIRST POST ON PREVIOUS THREAD
This is yet another bargain/glitch/DTD/JTD/misprice thread!
We know it's in the 'Gone But Not Forgotten' section!
We know there are at least 2 other threads in which we could post!
Yes, we do talk a lot!
No, not all of what we say is Tesco related or even of interest to many others but this is the way this thread has formed.
Many of us want to discuss the various deals to be had but this was not appreciated on the main Grabbit forum. As such, we now use this thread to talk about anything from how to cook a baked potato to how to get 1p or 4p items through self-scan as quickly as possible. We also discuss ex-husbands and wives, kids and animals. If you have a medical problem we'll nag you until you go to the Doctor. If you're not feeling well we'll provide support, a wee hot drink and whatever chocolate is currently glitching to cheer you up.
And finally, yes we know that some people try to obscure the store names but this works both ways. It might make it difficult for those who don't have the time to sit here and natter all day but it also makes it difficult for staff/managers to quickly identify any issues at their store.
We do try to remember to post new deals in bold. We don't like arguing so we're not going to take umbrage if one or two deals slip through.
Now sit back, relax and feel free to join in. We don't bite (unless you ask nicely), we will help wherever possible and you don't have to post new deals just to feel like part of the group.
Please put all your finds in bold with LAST 4 DIGITS OF barcode and photo if possible so we can chat & still speed read for bargains.

    Afternoon All.....

Long long time since I've been here, been lurking from just before the start of the latest S. H. I. P thread.... Thanks COT. Over the last few days I've seen some of you write that you haven't been here in ages.... and it's been about a week.... Me, well it's been about 6 months!!!!

There has been so much happen in the time I have been away, and I know i've missed lots of glitches, but I have managed to squeeze one or 2 in in the last couple of weeks.... thanks to the OP's, I have cheeses for myself and family, 3 boxes of choccies from MrA the odd S&G, my store only had 3 then ran out  and enough softener and stain remover to last for a little while anyway. ;)

I know lots has happened to many of you, both good and bad, i'd like to welcome to the world any new 'baby' MSE'ers. But i'd really like to say Sorry to 3Dogs for your sad loss this summer. I hope the dogs have started behaving better and the mouse problem is reducing.... Keep strong, you are doing a fine job XXX You have been so positive that your posts give me strength.

Last year ended and this one began with a fella that had come back into my life after 14 years, making all sorts of promises, and making me think I had finally in my 40's found happiness..... that was short lived, and he let me down and hurt me emotionally big time..... 6 months on and i'm still far from over it..... I know I need to move on, and keep thinking that maybe I should forget the usual perfume and use some extra Le' Nour before a mate drags me off to a local POF singles night disco.....

I think the last time I was here I had made comments on my Mum and the big dreaded C..... it only took the hospital just over a year of tests and various other 'wrong' treatments to finally diagnose. Anyway, to cut a very long story, she started treatment as an outpatient, got extremely poorly and immobile, so became an inpatient. She had been in for a week, was left overnight without cot sides up, fell out of bed and fractured her hip. Watching her over the next week it was like, well if you can get back from this mum, you can come back from anything!!!!!

Well she is home now, have no idea how she pulled herself through, but she did. :T I do my best as her career, but it's bloomin hard, coz she's always been so independent. Now she has to use 2 sticks or a frame at home, and a wheelchair when out. I managed to get a very MSE purchase of a Stenna stair lift from Ebay for £20 which we managed to fit ourselves, and with family contacts got it safety tested. The only problem with doing this was before the first Social Worker made a home visit to assess mums needs the SW read notes on the computer system which stated – ‘Family have arranged installation of a stair lift’, which meant SW came round with an initial thought of, ‘Well this family must be loaded’. She was put right on that fact!!!!

I don;t have too much to add, but I did want to try to find something that may be useful, so for those of you that have baby MSEer's, I don't know if it's been seen, and I don't have any results of these comparing, but I assume they will.

I thought the little tins look promising for a A's v T's shop.

Things are slowly getting easier so I hope to have more time to post.
