  • Why worry, don't bother to waste your time and money on them, ignoring is a lot cheaper and very effective. Should they ever try to do court (never ) come back.Till then relax.

There in lies the problem. If we all just ignored injustice with the "I'm alright jack" attitude, then the democratic world we currently enjoy today would simply not exist. Perhaps we would all be hiding in holes waiting for the bullies to pass before we could come out to enjoy the sun. Well perhaps not in the last few days of course. Now the DVLA have given the bullies details of where there might be "easy pickings". Right here in our homes.

These seriously flawed systems monitor and potentialy hassle every single person that has to go shopping for their basic essentials with a registered vehicle. How long before we've all been hassled?

If everyone ignored them, rather than paying up or fighting using the rules they make up, then they would have no income, and would fade away.

Secondly, you only need to look around here to know that people here are not allowing the PPCs to walk all over them, and continue their dodgy practices unhindered. Schedule 4 of the POFA was fought against all the way, unfortunately not successfully. And the actions of the PPCs are being closely monitored. Several have already been barred from access to the DVLA database.

It's a case of choosing one's battles wisely, in order to have most impact.

Never could two remarks be such a false representation of the facts. First, none of us have an "I'm all right Jack" attitude, that is why we devote much of our spare time on this site to help others.

As for "wating for the bullies to pass". Cobblers. WE who edit here regularly are not "bullied", we can all spit in their faces but it is merely the case that we know by ignoring, or atleast by having ignored prior to October 1st, we are doing them most damage.

Now that we can cost them more by going through POPLA, that is precisely what we will do. And if such a channel existed that would land their directors mandatory prison sentences, we'd be going through that as well. I'll bully them, not the other way round.

What is it Parking Eye are alleging then , that you were there more than two hours , even when you weren't ?
....you seem to be implying that the PE camera points at the street and therefore issues tickets to those not in the car park ..surely that can't be right ?

Exactly that. Their camera can't tell the difference between car park and the street.

For the avoidance of doubt. I parked on the other side of the street to the car park and receive a charge for being there for close to four hours.

For the avoidance of doubt. I read their sign and drove out of the car park within minutes because I was not happy with their terms and the two hours free time limit. Parked on the other side of the street to the car park and receive a charge for being there for close to four hours.

I'd report that to DVLA,ICO,The Council and Trading Standards and the local press too..you will need some evidence though.

    Whooooooh there !!!!!!!

You clearly haven't read this forum very closely if you think we just sit back with an "I'm alright attitude" and do nothing. I suggest you planning to avoid all monitored car parks is actually more of an "I'm alright attitude".

Many of us take the fight to the PPCs using various methods - that's why a number of PPCs have been banned from getting data from DVLA. One company CPS looks like it's losing money hand over fist judging by the posts on here from it's owner !

Some people choose to fight the PPCs but it's equally valid to ignore their illegal demands.

You're clearly angry so channel that anger at helping other people and coming up with inventive ways to cost PPCs money.

This was never intended as an attack on any person, the forum or what it stands for. Very sorry if its interpretted as that.

If you would like to quote me then please use the full text. The bits you picked distort what I wrote. It's the whole general public who stand to be bullied. Not you or anyone connected with the forum. If you are considering being a bully then I wish no association with such methods.

As I read it you only get to POPLA after suffering a full set of deliberately designed hassle letters. POPLA don't entertain you until you have the full set and a special number from the hasslers.

I was given advice from the appointed experts here to ignore them. How does that help the cause if I just walk away and forget about it?

My case is surely gold to those who seriously wish to compile evidence to combat these techno extortion and hassle systems.

You were given that advice because a large majority of people want the simplest route out with the least hassle.

If you on the other hand want to fight then do so. The first stage is to appeal to Parking Eye with some vague reason. After that the fun starts ! And no, you don't need the full set of letters to go to POPLA - just a rejected appeal.
All aboard the Gus Bus !
