I wonder if anyone knows the answer to this:
I'd like to know which is the cheapest company to offer monthly all inclusive calls to landlines, without using a prefix (and any associated pros / cons).
I am currently with talktalk who charge £11.05 + VAT, so I'd like to know if that is beatable for starters!

Onetel charge £10.99per motn for a service similar to TALKTALK. Here's a link to the site:

Can somebody just confirm for me.
I pay line rental to BT of £10.50 per month.
Instead of paying Tesco home phone £50 for about 300 evening and weekend landline calls.
I COULD pay 18866 £3 for the same 300 calls @ 1p each !!!
This can't be correct can it? or am i missing something?
And if it is,am i right in thinking i would have to cancel the Tesco account OR downgrade to pay as you go to avoid the monthly charge of £4.47 for Tesco Talk 2?
Thanks in advanceSponsored by Tesco Clubcard Points !!0 -

Cancel the Tesco account altogether. Join TalkTalk via the link below. With Talk Talk you get free evening and weekend calls to UK numbers, ie those starting 01 and 02. You also get 30 minutes a month free to call mobiles. This will carry on like that for 1 year, after that they charge you £4.99 per month. At that point something else may be available.
Join 18866.com for your daytime calls to UK numbers. And yes, you are correct, that 18866.com charge a 1p connection fee to UK numbers, ie those starting 01 and 02, and the call is untimed, so you cantalk for as long as you wish.

Good.
Also note that calls to other TALK TALK customers are free at all times.0 -
Only just discovered this site after blowing my top at todays telephone bill from BT at over £50 a month for two lines on BT together option 3 of which my calls were 137 local calls and 31 mobile calls ( I use pay as you go on my mobile so no free calls)
I have Broadband with Wanadoo, would this affect things if I switch calls to these new 18866 and 1899 numbers? I am very reluctant to make any changes to do with my lines as I recently had a very bad experience with a certain telephone provider taking over my line without my consent and causing me severe financial losses to my business as they lost my call sign number. Are these companies ok and is there any risk involved?0 -

IMHO, the first thing to do it to tell BT you want to change to BT Together Option 1.
That'd mean that, instead of paying BT £15 extra for 137 UK calls, you could pay call18866.co.uk £1.37 and make an instant £13.63 saving!
You'd probably be able to save money on the calls to mobiles as well although 18866's 12p per minute during the week is beaten by 1899 - who charge 10p per minute.30 years, 217 days!0 -
Please can someone tell me where I can get this orchid dialler from and how much does it cost?
I'm on OneTel's standard tariff but think I'm going to swap to 18866, Talk Talk and BT for the non geographic... it's all quite complicated though isnt it? Think I've got the hang of it now though!!!0 -
Found the link for the dialler.... sorry... no worries!!!0
