Has anybody already done one of these Testing Centres, where you purposely fail an exam etc?

What I need to know is, how long must you actually be at the Centre? The notes say allow 60-90 minutes including the report, and, since (I assume) I'd be doing the report part from home afterwards, that doesn't really help. I know you have to be there 15 mins before the start for registration etc, but that's about all I do know.

My difficulty is that the only appointment I can get is 18:15, and I would have to leave no later than 19:50 to be sure of getting the last train home (a taxi would be too expensive to contemplate!).

If the timings are OK, then I'd be happy to go ahead, but if leaving when I must means I wouldn't be doing the job properly, then I shall have to withdraw.

    Help, please

    I did one in Feb

You have to report 15 mins before your appt,

It only takes about 20 - 30 mins to do the test.,
and it only takes a minute or 2 to get your pass / fail printout.

also the later you are the more likely they are to want to get you out quick, lol

mind you after getting paid for it I received £13.79 ( for $30) and had to pay out £2.20 in parking. plus 19 miles,

good luck - it took me ages to get the booking email too

    Thanks for the encouragement.

Just to keep you up to date, I have booked the appointment, and now feel reassured that I can do the assignment properly and still get home.

I have just phoned for directions, as per instructions, and I have to say, they are hopeless! Fortunately, I know where I'm going, 'cos I spotted the entrance across the road from a cafe I was using to fill in my report on a bookie's job I was doing for someone else recently, so my enquiry was just part of the job, but if I had the exam for real and got so little help ahead of time, I'd be in a real stew on the day. (OK, no I wouldn't, I'd use Googlemaps and/or the TIC to make sure I could find the place, but you know what I mean!!)

All the girl could do was read out what was on the printout I already had; she couldn't even tell me whether the Centre would be open during the afternoon of my appointment (mine's in the evening) and the system doesn't allow anyone to contact the individual Centres direct.

AND it took me three goes to get the right number, 'cos they kept putting me through to the Driving Test people!

Sometimes it makes you feel proud to be a MS, when you report back on carp service like this and know that you are making a difference! :D

Hi, I am trying to key my results in for Grassroots. I follow the link: results.grgresearch.com. It ask for my Unique ID. I tried it with my panelist number, I tried it using the Job No. Still I get the message:

Job does not exist / Survey not configured - Please call for assistance.

As it is Good Friday, no one is in the office. Any ideas how to log on.

    Gutted!! With a capital G!!!
As far as I can tell there only seems to be a couple of other MSers in my area who are registered for GRG. I seem to get a good share of one banks, so I'm figuring the other MSers must bank with that one and I don't.

So I have an e-mail from them for a 4 month assignment (only for visits) paying £XX!!! And it's for the bank I usually do the visits to.

    But...

    I can't do it as I have a CCJ!!

    Dammit!

Have you kept the email offering you the work? If you can't find it on the paperwork it will be on there. You wouldn't have been able to accept the job on the automated system without it. HTH

The unique ID is in your paperwork somewhere. I am just about to report one for buying some models ;), and my ID is on page 6 - it's an 11 digit number.

The sheet with the number on is headed with the name of the shop I have just visited, and APRIL 2007. It's the beginning of the actual questionnaire.

    Hope this helps!

To cheer you up, though, the fee was less than Martin often finds for us just for opening an account, without all the paperwork! :p

I can't do them either. I'm on maternity leave from the end of April, so can't do the multi visit ones.

I was also offered a one off visit to open an account, but it's at the branch where the mother of one of my sons friends works, and she's the person I would have to see. It wouldn't be fair assessing her, as obviously I'd get brilliant service as she knows me.
Here I go again on my own....
