Thanks guys - I have found the unique Id at last. It was on the paperwork as you guys have said. I got offered this job as a last minute thing. Grassroot ran me out of the blue on Thursday asking if I could do the job. They said it had to be over the easter holidays. I accepted it but forgot to ask for the fee. But being Grassroot, I suppose their fees are reasonable.0

I'm pretty sure the fee is on the paperwork too, somewhere!Ex board guide. Signature now changed (if you know, you know).0

The fee is usually the same for all their jobs. I think the only time I've had a lesser fee was a supermarket counting job.0 -

You claim the 40p as tax free, not as extra costs from the MS company. So if for example imagine you are working for a company that pays you £5, plus the cost of your meal, plus £3 travel. The company is 5 miles away. You claim all the allowances, but when you are calculating your PROFIT for tax purposes, I work out the following.
Total travel costs allowable from IR = 40p x 10 (10 miles round trip) - you need to subtract an extra £1 from the profit.
Profit = £5 - 60p for printing costs, - £1 extra travel. Taxable profit = £3.40
I'm still confused about the reimbursements for meals, goods, etc. Do I ignore them for tax purposes or should they come under profits?[/I]0 -
You write them in your accounts, but they cancel each other out. If you're doing single entry bookkeeping:
You would have a spend of £4.50 in your credit column.
But on another line, you'd have a £4.50 debit from MS Company when you get reimbursed.Here I go again on my own....0 -
I've been looking at some of the sites that people have mentioned in here - looks like an interesting way of making some extra cash!
However, I'm not keen on the idea of entering my bank details on the application forms before I've even been offered work by these companies. Am I being overly suspicious, and are these companies genuine?
thanks
