I use my own set of postal scales, they are a lot smaller and more accurate, a little more discreet too.

BTW: Do you ever get funny looks weighing coffees outside a shop?

I did when I spilt a Mocha all over me when I was in Newcastle and I was just about to weigh it... oops (nice people exhanged it of course, but didnt help my jeans though lol)

Yes you are doing it right (with the possible exception of below)

Just to check, though - when you go through the 'select clients' bit of this CATWOT* process, you have got all possible clients ticked, haven't you?

*CATWOT - complete and total waste of time. New acronym which I am rather fond of.

Not 100% certain what you mean. When I tick the suburbs I am interested in it moves onto client list and says:

"You can choose up to 10 different clients from this list.

When you're done you can (a) Run your search or (b) Refine your search further by shop dates"

but there are no firms in the list...just a blank empty box with nothing in it. Am I missing something simple?

Once I've done the inital pick and the click on next button the window on the screen that comes up has some clients in. Is your browser accepting cookies?

There might simply be no jobs in those places? What browser are you using?

Have you tried other places just to check?

Try including London in your list - there's normally something there. If not, email them and ask them! (and tell them how much we all hate the new system - personally I'd love to see all jobs available for one client (a coffee or petrol one) like we used to be able to....)

I'm pretty sure that the initial place list is ONLY of places where there are jobs, as it changes from day to day :(
Ex board guide. Signature now changed (if you know, you know).

\i was worried too, but grass roots who I applied through have given me loads of work and have paid as promised into my bank accout. First assignment is daunting and I felt quite guilty, but now have realised that instead of banging on about the terrible customer service I can give positive feedback. I dont know about any other companies, but grass roots have impressed me with their efficiency. Good luck!

Hi Everone. Just a quick question. I signed up to grassroots yesterday and they sent me a panallist number. When I put it in, the message comes up, unfortunately your browser is not currently supported. I've tried firefox and internet explorer, any ideas? Also is this where you can search for jobs or do they just email you with suitable jobs in your area? Thanks for any info.

Grassroots email you when theres assignment available, then you have to ring up to accept it :)

there was talk of them having a search facility on the website, where you could self allocate assignments ???

Maybe someone else will know if / when this is going to happen

I thought the initial list only included places where there are jobs but have just tried a search and come up with nothing, so I think there are still more than a few bugs in the system!!

So I just tried to sign up with Grassroots, and they denied me on the grounds that I run Firefox, and not Internet Exploder. I'm almost tempted not to reboot into Windows just so I can sign up...

but I will do anyway ;)
