  • I have a mystery shopping assignment this afternoon for BARE. I have to go to car dealerships.....

Has anyone else been involved in this recent wave? How did you get on? Any advice? Feeling very nervous!!!

I've done a couple of those - first one was great, second a nightmare as they couldn't get the car for four months so they were just not interesed at all in talking to me, but I got it done in the end.

Have two more to do today - they must be desperate as I'd already refused them and they came back and offered me an extra 5 euros for each job. Not a great deal, but better than nowt!!

Good luck, feel free to pm me if you need any help!

Just convinced I'm going to forget everything and look like a complete muppet!

Keep a little notepad on you, that you can view at a glance if necessary without being seen. I did 6 in one day and it really wasn't that bad. When you have done it, you will realise how easy it was to remember the details

Hi there. I'm trying to sign up with NSS but am having a hell of a job completing the form. I can put the first line of my address in but can't do anyhting else, or I can use autofill to do most of it but it then says there's loads of information outstanding. Am I doing something wrong?

Try it without the autofil 'cos sometimes autofil adds things in fields you don't want. Good luck.

Ummmm - I did the last wave, and didn't bother to hide the notepad. It seems TOTALLY natural to me to have details of the car you are interested in (the precise spec), the prices you have been offered etc. written down. That's certainly what I would do if I were shopping for a car in 'real life' so IMHO it is totally acceptable behaviour for a MS. I did 11 visits, all for different specs, and it would have been impossible to remember the precise specifications of the car I wanted without my notebook. But hand on heart I can say that if I'd really been shopping for one specific car, I would not have been able to remember the specs without a notepad! (and certainly would not have been 100% confident of the prices I'd been quoted. The result of my researches was that I got some excellent offers for purchase of the cars, by the way! )

lol do you mean Grass Roots ??? all the links are on the first page of this thread :D

Some assignments you can take children to accompany you, others you cant

I have taken my 2 sons on many assignments, they are 5 and 10 though so pretty well behaved most of the time ! and not likely to be bratty whilst in a shop etc !

It will usually state on the brief if you can / cannot have anyone accompnay you :)
and some *specifically* ask for children to be present,we have recently done a few restaurant assignments and cinema ones too for the whole family :)
