Well I have just done my first assignment fo Retail eyes.
How do you normally send the reports, I've downloaded the questionnaire, but was expecting to be able to complete it online, but I'm not able to type into it. Is this right?? I've printed off a copy, but it would be so much easier if it could be done on line as it would save me going to the PO.
    Thanks

I have just been allocated my first assignment with BAI. When I first applied for the assignment I had to enter the date I would undertake the assignment on. The e-mail they sent confirming and my job log on their website does not refer to the date anywhere it simply lists a timeframe within which the job must be completed. Do I have to stick with the original date I submitted? Can anybody help me please?

    Thanks

Just being cautious but is it safe to give out the bank details on the application form. Probably a silly question but just thought I'd check
    Thanks

The bank details you give out are on every cheque you write, I bet you never think twice about writing a cheque?

I registered with Cybershop around August, I got a letter informing me I don't have to pay tax if I earn less than £4000 (or so) a year. There is no way I'll go over that! :rotfl: So I'm fine.

Do you do any other work?

Your personal tax allowance is about £4600 (can't remember exact figure!). If you won't earn above that from the total of all jobs, you'll not have to pay any tax.
Since reading this thread I have learnt that these are both classed as being Self Employed. And that I have to register myself with these within 3 months or I 'll probably have a fine of £100?

I'm not working at the moment, although I'm starting working next month (part time) during the Christmas season.

I'm just confused as what to do. How do I register as SE for mystery shopping if I'll be actually woking part-time?

Yes you can be employed by PAYE employers and self employed. My income comes from a mixture of both.

Do register within 3 months, as I have read people on here have been fined for not doing so :(

Then just keep basic accounts for your self employed work showing money coming in (wages, reimbursements) and money going out (shop spends, parking). If you run your accounts to finish at the end of the tax year it makes things easier. The final balance will be your taxable income, which you'll have to declare on your tax return.

You'll also have to fill in a page for each PAYE company, but you can just copy the figures off either your final payslip of the tax year, or from your P60.

It sounds complicated, but it's not really. The online tax return makes it easier, as it shows you any mistakes, and does all the calculations for you. You just get a final screen showing what you owe them or if you're lucky, what they owe you!

    Hope this helps.
Here I go again on my own....
