I've just been organising my web links etc into my favourites etc. Still surprised that after all this time, I still cannot access the cert test for a certain fast food chain.

Regarding pay, I've been comparing sites and realised that NOP are actually not bad, as they pay you mileage, parking, and a contribution towards printing out your questionnaire (and we all know how much ink they use up!)

I think it depends on your circumstances and ability to turn something into a positive. OK the people I work for - the pay may be '!!!!!!' - but right now as my temp job finished a couple of weeks ago the money I will get really really helps. I also enjoy going for free meals when living on a shoe-string.
Also I don't eat the fast food - I give it to my friends who love me for it! Ok sometimes I think what am I making all this effort for but then I remind myself that some people in our world would kill for a job like this and then I remember that I am one lucky person.
Cheers
AnnieI'm hope I didn't cause any offence in what I said
- none was certainly intended.
I was saying I liked BAI because I thought their pay rates were ok and the jobs suited me. I wasn't putting down the lower paid jobs - it's just that the BAI ones fit my life better because I work long hours, the locations are usually nearer to me and I can slot a job in my lunch break. Some people might prefer to do a batch of smaller paid jobs but that's not something I can fit in at the moment.
I agree with you about making something positive - that's one of the reasons I like mystery shopping, it's flexiblity means we can choose to do it in a way that suits our circumstances0 -
Hi all,
I need a little help.
I registered with Cybershop around August, I got a letter informing me I don't have to pay tax if I earn less than £4000 (or so) a year. There is no way I'll go over that! :rotfl: So I'm fine.
Anyway, around the end of September I joined Retail Eyes, in October I had my first (and up to now) only job with them, which I still haven't been paid for! In October I also joined GAP, I haven't done any work with these yet, I've always had trouble with their bloody orientation pages crashing.
Since reading this thread I have learnt that these are both classed as being Self Employed. And that I have to register myself with these within 3 months or I 'll probably have a fine of £100?
I'm not working at the moment, although I'm starting working next month (part time) during the Christmas season.
I'm just confused as what to do. How do I register as SE for mystery shopping if I'll be actually woking part-time?
Part of me just wants to stop with RE/GAP and stay with the PAYE mystery shops. But would I still have to register as SE, seeing as I've carried out 1 job with RE, although not been paid?
Arghh! Sorry for the long ramble. I'm not very good with this sort of thing and I certainly don't want to be fined £100, as I'm living on a tight budget as it is.
I'd be extremely grateful for any advice.

little pencil ,you dont pay national insurance if you earn less than 4k but you still pay tax on any amount im sure ?!
i had the problems with GAP orientaion pages but i emailed them and a lovely guy worked through the problems with me and it was sorted and i could go through the tests etc and have done a few jobs for them now
Retail Eyes, if you only did the job in october ( which it still is now lol) then you wont get paid until next month,as they pay round the 15th of the month
