Has anyone done the ones where you "reveal" yourself as the mystery shopper at the end? By taking off your cape, I assume... Anyway, there's one on TNS and I don't know whether to go for it or not. Worried I might feel stupid!
my sister has done one of those a few weeks back
she said it was fine, you just go through the whole process then hand over a letter at point of sale
no need for you to feel stupid but the person serving you might ! my sis said she went bright red and was panicking lol0 -
I've done a 'revealing' job with an electrical retailer and it was fine. Just booked another one like it.
Regarding pay, I've been comparing sites and realised that NOP are actually not bad, as they pay you mileage, parking, and a contribution towards printing out your questionnaire (and we all know how much ink they use up!)0 -
Has anyone got the link to BAI please?
I did 4 Mystery Shops today - pheww! 3 for Retail Eyes and 1 for Grassroots. Sometimes I feel really bizarre doing this...I worry that someone might recognise me in the street and ask me if I am an MSer!
Dormouse you know the stores we were talking about? How did you get on? I had quite a few queries to my answers on one of them. I find it very hard to convey what happened in the questionnaires we have to fill out."Debt makes plans for you" - A quote from my friend Catherine. How true!0 -
Ooooh also - the whole tax issue - say you have a job that pays "£10" (figure plucked from the air!) how much tax should you put away for this?"Debt makes plans for you" - A quote from my friend Catherine. How true!0

I work full time, and long hours, but I've been able to do their jobs in my lunch break or a Saturday morning. Other sites seem to have more jobs, but they're either out of my way, crap pay and often having to eat fast food, which I hate.
Anyway, after doing decent reports on my first few shops I've now been offered one of the 'popular' jobs(can't say what obviously!) so I'm very pleased.
Hi laughing cow
I think it depends on your circumstances and ability to turn something into a positive. OK the people I work for - the pay may be '!!!!!!' - but right now as my temp job finished a couple of weeks ago the money I will get really really helps. I also enjoy going for free meals when living on a shoe-string.
Also I don't eat the fast food - I give it to my friends who love me for it! Ok sometimes I think what am I making all this effort for but then I remind myself that some people in our world would kill for a job like this and then I remember that I am one lucky person.
Cheers

Just being cautious but is it safe to give out the bank details on the application form. Probably a silly question but just thought I'd check
Thanks0 -

They're showing up as 'proofread' and 'payment pending' on the site so I'm assuming everything is okay.

ThanksAll the companies we talk about on this thread are genuine and we've all had payments from them, so don't worry about the bank details.
