    Trying to keep in budget.

    Afternoon everyone,

    Budgets done to here :)

Had a 'make it up as you go along' dinner last night. Got some diced lamb and put it in an ovenproof dish, added a jar of patatas bravas sauce and a small pot of natural yoghurt. Mixed it all together and baked in the oven at 200 degrees for about half an hour. Lovely - quite spicy, but nice with mini roasties and broccoli.

Haven't spent any pennies since Monday's T shop. Will be going into town tomorrow so may get some veggies. Also going to visit my local branch of 'shoes' to use my staff discount card on a couple of pressies ;)

Need to add £5 to my spends - had a veggie breakfast (well, lunch!) out on monday. Not very MSE at all, but I didn't buy a drink and instead waited until I got back to the car where I keep a stash of drinks :)

I'm going to give this recipe from the GC a go tonight http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showthread.html?p=10730349#post10730349
However, I only have a silicon loaf tin and no muffin tins/cake tins etc yet. Do you think I could make little mini rolls perhaps baked straight onto a lined baking tray?

Hehe no worries Lemmings, I've been meaning to make it for ages so hope it works out well for you too! Do you reckon it would work OK as little individual ones popped straight onto a lined baking sheet?

erm im not sure if it would work or not i think it would depend how thick the mix is?

Thanks for replying :P None of those unfortunately - only a silicon loaf tin! The only other things I have are a couple of ceramic pie dishes but they are fluted around the edge, oh and an oval ceramic oven dish. And a couple of pyrex casserole dishes.. Although I do have some tinfoil cases?

i was going to use my silicone loaf tin although i do have metal ones aswell i rekon if your doing it in the silicone one you would just cook it for longer the one ive got is quite deep and not really flat like the one in the picture ive never tried making bread in tinfoil cases so not sure
