Post back when I get to speak to them!

Sorry to quote my own post, but have just e-mailed Paul & have mentioned the suffolk hamper company new set up & said how about doing another interview with Neil? Hope that was the right thing to say but if anyone could get through to him maybe it will be them...

I am also someone who was awaiting a refund, luckily I managed to get 2 of my orders refunded through Paypal as was within time, but sounds like im stuffed for the 3rd order, as paid through Paypal in October.
I will try and speak to my bank tomorrow to see what they say but honestly think they will say tough luck as it was a DD through Paypal etc.

He is quite a conman isnt he, all the promises he made, including one to me in an email after xmas saying a refund would be processed etc, is signs that he knew what he was doing and all this was part of the plan.

He held off any direct refunds (bar one or 2 I believe which went directly into peoples bank accounts) as I feel he was planning all this from xmas onwards.

I believe he cleared his bank account, and this way Paypal would pay out all the refunds, then have to chase him for it afterwards. So he now owes Paypal a lot of money.

And probably UKMail are fuming, all those deliveries he done, and now is probably the time they are due to be paid for them, so another few thousand there?

And last of all, the suppliers whom gave him goods on account for all our orders, and probably will not also stand a chance of receiving either their goods back or any type of payment.

I have no respect for people like Neil, who could have been a man and stood up ages ago and held his hands up, but has done nothing but lie and cheat for the past 2 months.

He had every opportunity to tell the truth and refund, send goods etc, but in truth, he is a conman on the lowest level, who has schemed all this up.

I hope he will in time, find out the real truth of losing everything, like I did a few years back, and once he has, he will hopefully have the up most respect for others in future when people trust you and believe in you, and hopefully he will turn into a better cretin in life.

Until then, I hope that he has many sleepless nights, and that his friends from the police station opposite him, visit him, and remind him that he was taking money by deception all along.

I am upset, not only for myself, but for others on here, who gave their money in good faith, and because we did not live up the road and could not collect our goods, lost not only the chance to give presents for xmas, but also our hard earned money.

I know people ordered for deliveries throughout the year, which I had also done so, and their faith extended even further than mine, as they held fast and thought it would come right in the end. I am upset they they also have become one for Neil(l)s victims.

I hope people do get some results from their chargebacks, and I hope that people do keep an eye on any new ventures this cretin decides to do. I for one will never order a present so far in advance again, and will certainly not tell my in laws that they are going to have a present every month lol !!!

Im sorry that it has come to this, but do feel better his doors are shut, it stops anyone else getting caught up in all this. And hopefully with all us on here, any further attempts to scam anyone will get nipped in the bud before he manages to scam thousands of pounds off people.

Rant over folks. Sorry for the long post, but it isnt only us fuming now, it is the others who have lost out as well, the suppliers and Paypal etc. He will have alot of people chasing him now, shame no one will get a penny, apart from the Insolvency Company he is using :(

And I do hope that he will be investigated properly, as deception is quite a big thing, and taking money for orders when you cannot fulfill is surely this? And not refunding once you have broken the contract is surely another sign this was a planned scheme to begin with?? I hope this goes higher and action is taken against him.

http://whois.domaintools.com/norfolk-hampers.co.uk also same owner as the suffolk (site not live for Norfolk) one but doesn't seem to be connected to NCH as far as I can tell

That site is indeed registered to H5communications as well, they handle the marketing for napoli deli who run the suffolk-hampers.co.uk website.

If you want to find the registration details for one of Neil Alveys sites then I would suggest searching for one of the following sites which he does actually own. It won't help much as it just confirms he owns websites people already know about & gives his email address home address & phone number, all those details are readily available from other sources anyway & knowing them will not help get a refund.

Gutted to hear this. I made 3 orders so have just sent in citizens advice form (for all the good that will do). At least trading standards may now realise that this was a bigger problem than they were told by this trader. I am short 4 hampers from my first order and second order (made early Dec before Dec orders were due and didn't come/were late) was for the 6 month deal for 2 hampers per month and a hamper club membership. I have had nothing for these orders, but did receive some for the first order, although partly damaged and not maybe quite as big as expected (but not bad for the price at the time, I stupidly thought!). I had been trying to give this man the benefit of the doubt- I know- stupid me! I think I will probably have to put this down to a bitter experience and lose the money for the first order hampers but I fortunately put a paypal claim in on the 45 day limit (just in case) for the rest of the orders so I hope that this will come through now that everyone now knows NHC is bust.

i wonder if he just made sure most were just outside the 45 days for paypal
  • Hi

Does anyone else find the email a bit strange?

Surely you go in to administration first then an administrator comes in and makes the decision if you are insolvent, and surely anyone still owed money should have the option to list themselves as a creditor?

I have to say i think the email may be another lie, but if its true i would certainly like to list myself as a creditor, what could he have done with all our hard earned money?

@ maxtweenie - Hi maxtweenie did you get chance to go through the list of what people are owed?

I've got some spare time if it's still worth doing.

With my continuing naivety, I just accepted the email as true, but my husband immediately thought it was strange and could be another lie. I can't see that anyone would dare to do that, but what do I know.....?!
