The Norfolk hamper company thread

And for all those still intent on bringing down his business just remember yes he did do wrong but two wrongs don't make a right. So give him time - he is now putting it right and has doubtlessly learnt from it
Is there anybody intent on bringing down his business? Or are people just expecting that his business will fold of its own accord because it is being so incompetently managed?
He's still not "putting it right" for a good number of customers. Some have not heard from him, some have not received refunds. Some have had the stress of expecting a hamper and then having to rush out just before Christmas to buy an alternative gift. And most have not received explanations, even those who have received a cursory "sorry" from NHCo.
It is good to hear that some have received their hampers and are happy. Equally, there are some that haven't and are not. This thread exists for both - but isn't it true that "a customer who gets good service will tell one person yet a customer who gets bad service will tell 10 people". Bad reputations spread quickly.:heartpuls Mrs Marleyboy :heartpuls

Don't think I am the best one to speak for you all as I've spoken to the intended recipients of my hampers & they would still like to have them, & I can see there's lots of people who would be much better to speak on the radio rather than me, so pleeeeeese do me a favour & contact the radio station

Come on now fellow MSErs; give Neil some time!
He's been trying since August 2012 to get these orders prepared and delivered. 2 people are receiving refunds directly from him every day. At this rate of refunds, he'll need a new cheque book in March.:grouphug:Official MSE canny forumite and HUKD VIP badge member

It is outrageous that you imply that consumers who clearly have a legitimate grievance against the Norfolk Hamper Company (Paypal wouldn't be issuing all those refunds and Trading Standards wouldn't be monitoring otherwise) are in some way doing "wrong" because they choose to afford themselves of the remedial routes offered by both consumer protection legislation and the terms and conditions of paypal.
There is only one wrong side here and that is the Norfolk Hamper Co Ltd, make no mistake about that.0 -
If you are happy with your hampers then that is fine it is your choice. But please DONT promote this company on Mse anymore. For a lot of people this company has caused many many problems and lets not forget Paypal refunded people with no response from Neil. Not good customer service.Hopefully when everyone is refunded this thread can close because i would hate for anymore people to get caught out again, because a few people are still promoting this company.
I am not promoting anything just simply stating my own opinion - which I believe I am fully in my rights to do. And I think seeing as I actually am one of those affected by this have more right to do so than people who didn't actually buy anything from the company in the first place!

Actually that is not what I meant at all by doing wrong - people can do exactly what they want and if they choose a remedial route then that decision is Up to them. What I meant by a wrong was this witch hunt that is going on in this thread - ably demonstrated by people jumping down my throat because I dare to express my OPINION and the facts about MY situation.0 -

To be fair, I didn't buy anything from the company. I just lent them £80 of my hard earned cash interest free for 3 months.0 -

Can you tell me why you think you have more rights to post on this thread than me?Could it be because i am one of the people who have NOT had a good word to say about this company. And for the record you dont have to have bought a hamper in order to make a comment. And as one other poster has already said, all a lot of customers did do was give Neil there money he had it for months made interest on it and then the customer had to fight to get there money back.0 -
At the moment I won't post on this thread as just being misinterpreted and generating arguments. I hope that whoever is waiting for hampers gets them and whoever is waiting for refunds gets them too0
