just think if he had not given 24 out he could have sent 2 to 12 customers
the ones who had all 24 are not gonna come on here boasting now are they????
many said early on in the thread they had asked for all 24

If he decided to give some 24 that is his look out he should still have made sure he could fulfil all orders

I must say that as a business seller online myself I am amazed at any suggestion from certain quarters that getting greedy and promising more goods than a business can supply is somehow the buyers fault.

Why aren't those people on ebay buying my goods and feeling sorry for me when I can't deliver what I promise? My buyers , strangely enough, seem to think that if i offer goods for sale and accept an order that I am responsible for supplying it. I obviously have the wrong buyers, mine blame me when I mess up, they don't blame themselves.

I have a line that is really suitable for Valentines day BTW, a lovely little gift- obviously I can't guarantee them for the 14th February, but please do go ahead and blame yourself for ordering if i ship them at the end of Feb.

The original quotation that this post was based on has been removed by MSE, the original poster has also gone.

I have therefore removed my post.

Ok, first of all I'll explain who I am, because as I did not buy from this company but have posted twice, I expect some people ( and this is not a criticism) might wonder about motives).
My friend was going to buy a deal from NHC, and asked me to check out the deal as she isn't very computer literate and hasn't a lot of money. My gut said no - and wow am I happy I told her not to.
I have followed the thread - well basically because even though she never took up the deal, I keep imagining how upset she'd have been, and I felt so so awful for people who did. I have posted twice. Once to offer words of support, and once because I had PM-ed a poster because I had a suspicion that Neil would delete his twitter so advised her to take screen shots. She didn't know how to do that, so I offered to take some for her. I felt it was the least I could do to help. When he did close the account, I made a second post so others knew I had screen shots, if they were needed.
This is my 3rd post. I felt I had to make it.
    - I can understand how let down, worried and angry people are over the whole situation.
    - I can understand anyone who wants to vent their anger. If my mate had been involved I would have been incandescent with anger. When I read posts, one from a housebound person , I was so angry on their behalf.
    - What I cannot understand, and what I do not think is in any way logical, is anyone without a vested interest wholeheartedly supporting Neil(l) and attempting to turn him into a victim. In addition, totally failing to show any understanding at all for the people who have been left without goods - even calling posters 'sick'.
I can appreciate some people trying to give him the benefit of some doubt, but a small number of posters are going way beyond this. To show no consideration for, and try to blame, customers for the situation is offensive. It's plain wrong.
The only way that it makes any sense is to think that this small band of effusive supporters are connected with Neil; family, friends, or business colleagues trying to do him a favour. Or the man himself.
It's one thing to mess up. People do. But to attempt to be a victim, which he has, and to lie to people, which he has, is no way to sort out the mess. I now feel that he's encouraging a few others to be complicit in his deceit. That is shameful.
If he thinks that by having a few posts singing his praises it will make anyone feel that the unhappy customers are complaining unnecessarily - this is not the case. I'm objective - I didn't buy any hampers. But I have been influenced by the posts unreservedly supporting him - swayed to lose any little shreds of sympathy I might have had for Neil.
I wish Happy New Year to the people who have sadly had the misfortune to buy from this company. Whatever new year Neil has, it is of his own making.

Just an update to say a cheque refunding the full amount dropped through the door this morning. Unfortunately, I was out at the shops so I didn't see how many times it bounced up off the floor. I'll let you know when it clears my account. Good luck in the Hamper Lottery to anyone who is still waiting.

Me too. Just off out again to bank it.
Hope everyone else waiting for a refund gets one soon

I think the majority of members on here can see right through his aliases, slowly but surely I am confident that everyone will eventually get their refunds.

Had he not gone to so much trouble in trying to deceive everyone, including his Alternate egos on here, I may have had some sympathy for the bloke. Instead he chose to fudge the outcome, something many of us in this "community" have seen countless times before, which ultimately backfires in their faces. Futile attempts at post deletion dont help them, as all posts on here (and twitter) are logged and stored and not just by the sites.

He has systematically killed his business and his aliases have done nothing but help to kill it. One or two of his aliases can pop up with crude remarks, but even they (or he) know, that no matter what they post, he has already lost the battle, its just a case of sour grapes in their throats that makes it too irresistible not to post some sort of final word on the matter.

Like yourself, I never bought any hampers from him, I lost my faith in Hamper companies after the Farepak fiasco. Wishing all the victims in this fiasco a Happy New year, with confidence that (although no consolation) each and everyone of his victims, will all eventually be refunded in accordance with the law. ;):T:T

Excellent post by the way malebolge.

Have I got the punctuation correct?

My order was what was owed from one deal and my other order was one complete order i.e. not one a month.
Have you got nothing better to do but to check through everyone's threads?
    You're all very sick.
    Happy New Year,
    Neil.

Thank you so much for brightening my day with this :) made me totally LOL :rotfl:

Well if anyone did get all 24 prior to Christmas I am more than confident they would say. The reason why probably no one is 'boasting' about it is because no one actually did perhaps?! Asking does not equal getting. Like asking for a refund really isn't it...
