The Norfolk hamper company thread

My mistake about the proposed new shops. Stalham was where Neil and his wife were based when their previous gift company was dissolved according to one poster. Also if you look at post 771, the two shops they are hoping to open are in Holt and Southwold.0

I cant quite work out where the suggestion of a 'new premises' has come from - the shop has only been there since July so why move? He had a previous hamper shop in Stalham 5-6 years ago and to the best of my knowledge, there's only one empty shop in the high street at the moment and that is up for sale freehold. I know this as I visit Stalham weekly to visit my dad who lives there and I grew up there so I know it well.
The shop in Caister has had a couple of previous owners - it was a shellfish shop for a long time (never a fish and chip shop) and that closed when the whole extensive premises (including a sign-writing biz) was sold. It became a sweet shop last year which wasn't popular and was short-lived and suddenly it became the hamper shop. I was a bit gutted as I'd been keeping an eye on it myself to move my business from home to another base!
No staff were employed there so no jobs will be lost. I cant speak for any packing unit he might have however as I dont know where this is done.
I began following on twitter as I am also a local small-business. The tweets came thick and fast. One deal after another. My time-line became clogged with them every night. I had to un-follow as it was driving me crazy! I believe he took on more than he could chew and it has become a disaster. I know that as a small business you have to grow slowly and build your customer base. It all seemed too much too quickly.
When the news broke in the local paper last week, I was not surprised. It has been the talk of the pub with locals not understanding why a shop would be closed during the busiest time of the year. There was an update in our local paper this week too but as I'm not allowed to put a link on here yet, it was in the Great Yarmouth Mercury.
I hope this had cleared up a couple of things for you all.
I bet our families know each otherMy lot lived there for quite some years, I used to rent the flat in the high st too, but that was about 20 years ago now
Small world eh.

These two locations are the most expensive and exclusive places in Norfolk and Suffolk. Nothing like aiming high I suppose ....0 -

I've reported this thread and hope it gets closed as nothing constructive is being said and just opens my eyes how nasty people can be whether they mean to or not.
I wish every one a 'Happy New Year' and fingers crossed everyone will get their refunds that want them and rest of them get the rest of their deals.

Why would you do that if you dint want to read whats posted dont visit the thread its been nothing but helpful for people who have been left without hampers refunds and information for the owner. It's a support network of information for people on what's happening.Needing to lose weight start date 26 December 2011 current loss 60 pound Down. Lots more to go to get into my size 6 jeans0 -
As the thread has been reported if it is closed and people are still without hampers and refunds I am sure someone can start another thread wih refund deadline information. If they did recieve the hampers were they he rigt ones or did they come damaged, did they have any out of date items in the . Also do people trust the company enough wih the missi gbhamperes of December not to cancel their monthly order and get a refund or are people hopin that ones the shop reopened they will start being set. LOL
Well so someone wants this forum shut down because WE could potentially cause more harm than good to a company that has dug its own grave constantly and the owner/supporters are still playing the victim card
this sounds like again playground bulling by the person who cant win the argument IE that the complainer is right about this company and were all wrong and if you dont stop im telling of you and reporting you
sounds also like a certain hamper owner saying the police will sort all you bullies out cos im getting upset
and they didn't shut us down either
Some might not like the tide this forum is causing against the NHC but then don't open the floodgates and let the water in, in the first place

i said because some got meant others didnt
just think if he had not given 24 out he could have sent 2 to 12 customers
the ones who had all 24 are not gonna come on here boasting now are they????
many said early on in the thread they had asked for all 240
