I've reported this thread and hope it gets closed as nothing constructive is being said and just opens my eyes how nasty people can be whether they mean to or not.

I wish every one a 'Happy New Year' and fingers crossed everyone will get their refunds that want them and rest of them get the rest of their deals.

Although I have had my hampers, all with long dates and all well filled, I do not agree that this thread should be closed.

There are many posters who have not received their hampers, or have received poorly filled hampers, and it is for those posters that the thread needs to continue. Hopefully refunds will continue to be given, as they have to a small number of posters, but no one will ever know if the thread is closed.

MSE, as has been stated before, is not just a forum, it is a community. As such, people should continue to support each other and to keep everyone informed regarding the status of their order/refund. Without this ongoing support, some posters might decide to give up because it is a hassle. This cannot be allowed to happen, because few people can afford to lose money. By remaining together, and supporting each other, anyone who feels like giving up can be given the boost they may need to continue. This is especially important for anyone who has not dealt with Paypal refunds, being out of time, etc, as other posters can offer detailed information as well as encouraging them to get what is rightfully theirs - which in the case of most posters, is a refund due to late delivery or non-delivery of goods that should have arrived almost a month ago.

Perhaps before asking for a thread to be closed, you should think about the help, support and comfort that posters get from the thread, knowing that they are not alone in their battle with Neil.

I agree - please keep thread open so we can keep everyone updated about any refunds. May paypal case is due to be reviewed by the end of today so I am hoping for news soon.

In the meantime, I have returned from my Christmas travels today and a parcel from Neil was unfortunately signed for by my neighbour. It was posted on 24th December, after I emailed Neil formally cancelling my 12+12 deal on 23rd Dec so I have not opened the parcel and have emailed Neil stating that it will remain unopened and await collection by Neil at his own cost. I did NOT requent that Neil sent more than the initial 2 hampers prior to Christmas but when the deal was advertised on his web site I emailed Neil and asked if he would be doing any other deals prior to Christmas where more of the hampers would be delivered in time for Christmas gifts. He emailed back and OFFERED to send me 6 in time for Christmas. I have this in writing. This is the basis on which I placed my order as I would not have ordered this deal if he had not guaranteed Christmas delivery, in the first week of December, for the initial 6 hampers. I now think that he would have agreed to anything just to get hold of my money. I will continue to pursue this until I get a FULL refund. As another person posted, the fact that he has sent something out to me on 24th December, after I had formally cancelled my order and with no hope of reaching me in time for Christmas, is completely irrelevant and he has still failed to deliver my order on time and is therefore in breach of contract. From the size of the box I can clearly see that he has NOT sent the 6 hampers that he promised anyway - so what he has delivered is NOT my order. To send orders out AFTER receiving formal calcellation of an order just proves that he is a fool as even his own T&Cs state that an order can be cancelled prior to it being sent out!!

Will keep you updated tomorrow if/when I hear more from Paypal xx

with NHC and I wish them all the success in their new premises in the New Year good luck Neil Just a warning to all MSE he probably will not do such good deals again for you, you realise the one a month was suppose to be one a month not all in one go it was only down to Neil's word of him allowing them altogether so you may have problems getting refunds as it said on the website one a month x Support the company and stop back stabbing it that way they will stay open and jobs will not be lost x

Is the NHC moving from 64a High Street, Caister then?

    Bit in bold.

Surely you mean he will not do such good deals again for US? Are you not part of MSE? Strange that the word you was used, but perhaps I am just overly suspicious...

If I remember rightly, they were supposed to be expanding with two new shops. One was in Stalham, and I can't remember where the other one as. I doubt either will happen now though. If he can't get one shop right how the hell would he manage with 3?

It seems a real possibility; I wouldn't be at all surprised if Lynsey hit it on the head!

Isn't that address for a business drop? It would seem a large array of companies use that address.

I think it's just had a succession of failed businesses there. First it was the fish and chip shop that went bust, then it was the sign makers that went bust, and now it's the NHCo (insert "went bust" here in a few weeks time).

Must be cursed, I will be sure to avoid setting a company in that place ;)
