The Norfolk hamper company thread

  • Hi Guys

I did not receive my hampers, and have actually spoken with paypal (took a little while to get through to an agent though) It is all rather complicated as my bank will not refund money as Neil took it through his paypal account (although I am still trying to go down this line). Paypal are sending Neil a message to request a refund. HOWEVER, if Paypal get lots of complaints they can escalate the problem!!

If we can all log a complaint with Paypal this will help!

I am very angry as not only has he kept us waiting for 'non delivered' hampers, we are now having to waste even more time trying to get our cash back!!! (and of course we will not get any money for the 'extra' gifts we have all had to purchase to replace the 'non delivered hampers'.)
    Good luck to you all.

Well, colour me confused! I have just signed for a parcel containing 2 beautiful baskets with a full complement of goodies inside. Unfortunately, one is a Christmas one - the other is a Just Add Cheese (which I could have gifted many times over !).

The acoompanying note says these are the first 2 of my 12 month deal....though I had the Galaxy and Retro sweets ones before Christmas!
"Cheap", "Fast", "Right" -- pick two.

Still waiting for an email about my refund. I guess his PayPal account has been blocked so I won't be getting a refund that way. I'll keep my eye out for a cheque coming through the letterbox and catch it as it bounces back off the doormat.

use the citizens advice form as requested by trading standards. I have done everything needed but not had a refund or response though so the best of luck with your claim.

Thank you I have filled out the form and I have 3 PayPal disputes underway. I am guessing I cannot do anything about the one which is over 45 days. So bloomin confusing

You can. As I posted earlier you dispute the transaction as opposed to
Claiming within the 45 days. I have an email from PayPal explaining it all. I will try to copy and paste it onto here

You have 45 days from the transaction date to open a dispute. I understand that this transaction took place over 45 days ago. Claims filed after 45 days are not eligible for PayPal Buyer Protection and will be closed. However, you should still report the problem by filing the dispute. We do keep track of complaints and sellers who consistently receive complaints are investigated.

You can open 2 kinds of disputes:

Item not received disputes: If you bought something but didn’t receive it, you can open an ‘item not received’ dispute. Before you open your dispute, wait 7 days from the transaction date so your seller has enough time to send the item.
Significantly not as described disputes: If you received an item that’s significantly different from the seller’s original description, you can open a ‘significantly not as described’ dispute. When you open a ‘significantly not as described’ dispute, you may be responsible for return postage costs. Here is what we consider significantly not as described:
You received a completely different item. Example: You purchased a book and received a DVD or an empty box.
The condition of the item was misrepresented. Example: The listing said "new" and the item was used.
The item was advertised as authentic but is not authentic.
The item is missing major parts or features which were not disclosed in the listing.
You purchased three items from a Seller but only received two.
The item was damaged during shipment.
Here's how to open a dispute:

Go to https://www.paypal.com and log in to your account.
Click ‘Resolution Center’ near the top of the page.
    Click ‘Dispute a Transaction.’
Select ‘Item dispute’ and click ‘Continue.’
    Click ‘Find transaction ID.’
Click the Transaction ID next to the transaction you want to dispute, and then click ‘Continue.’
Select the reason for your dispute, and then click ‘Continue.’
Enter additional information on the ‘Provide Additional Information’ page, and then click ‘Continue.’
    Click ‘Go to Resolution Centre
