The Norfolk hamper company thread

I just had a call from CAB re my contact form I completed.
They basically told me to do what's been advised on here, log PayPal claim and write to him.
Although he did say to me as I was never given an exact date for delivery the NHC is not in breach of contract. So the letter should say if I don't receive hamper by xx date then he is in breach and I can request a refund.
Although an Xmas hamper surly implies you'd have it for Xmas!?0 -

You may not have been given an exact date for delivery, however their site clearly indicated that all orders for Christmas hampers would be made by the first week of December.
Here's an image that clearly shows this.

Can I just clarify the PayPal position.
If you accept a parcel and it has been tracked then you will lose the INR claim and have to change it to a SNAD if possible. It is actually easier to get a refund if you do not accept the parcel at all as a seller needs to prove actual delivery- and not just an attempted delivery.
He also has a cancellation policy in the website, so keep proof as well that you have complied with that and have been ignored.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. Just wanted to say that I'm sorry y'all having a tough time with this company, I feel for you as my MIL had ordered hampers from Farepak.
Trading Standards are pretty useless and the law even worse. Mushroom soup doesn't actually have to have mushrooms as its main ingredient and home-cooked in a pub can be microwaved frozen catering stuff.
Under the Direct Selling Regulations, if anyone changed their mind withing ten days of ordering (maybe after reading this thread) I'm pretty sure you're entitled in law to get all your money back.0 -
Like i said im not at home right now. I havent had any emails mentioning refunds being processed
On Your post number 2621 you said you had...see below

I have had an email with a slight update. All i can say is that the refund process is meant to be starting tomorrow.24 beers in a case - 24 hours in a day. Coincidence? :beer:0 -
I ordered my hampers on 24th November. Last week, as no-one was answering the telephone, or communicating when my order would arrive, I cancelled my order by email on 21st December. I also started a paypal dispute & shopped for replacement Christmas Presents.
UKmail have just tried to deliver a parcel to me from Norfolk Hamper Company & I told them as the items were Christmas Presents I wasnt going to accept it. Turns out it was posted 24th December, so had no hope of arriving before Christmas............0 -

Daffy, he may reply to me because I'm not connected. The updates are intended to help and any updates I get I will continue to post. Appreciated or not
No that's fine. But I was referring also to the fact that he is really listening to what you have to give him guidance on as opposed to the legal eagles. So when you next communicate via email please could you ask him to explain the following and update us on the thread:
Why has no one yet had a refund processed? (As per your post yesterday stating he had emailed you to say was starting today) Why has he still not replied to any other individual's email except yours? And when exactly does he plan on doing so?
If you could get the replies on these and let us know with a screen shot of his replies that would be more valuable than anything else. Thanks24 beers in a case - 24 hours in a day. Coincidence? :beer:0 -
REDOUBLE,
Like i said i got involved on xmas eve to try and help deliver some hampers so people got them. I did this off my own back out of my own time and would have been my own fuel and my own car had it panned out. I made 2 trips to Caister to see if i could catch someone at the shop, i also called the BBC and Norfolk police to pass over my details to Neil if they could.
So i have lost small amounts of money. i am not best friends with Neil and i have no further vested interest. HOWEVER i am doing what i feel is right for you all and trying to get Neil to give you refunds (those who want refunds as i have had a couple of PM's saying people still want the hampers)
If you dont like the fact he is replying to me or the fact i post updates on here then sadly for you that is TOUGH. I dont care if it upsets you, makes you sad or makes your eyes turn red. I will continue to press Neil to give you all your money back and i will spend my OWN time doing it. (clearly not for the appreciation of some people on here)
To clarify, I am not !!!!ed at you but Neil, I am utterly frustrated that he chooses to converse with someone uninvolved, and I am expressing that.
I admit to really not fully understanding why you are involved, but the fact remains that you shouldn't be. Neil should have the brains and balls to sort this himself. In the time he's spent emailing you he could have refunded probably 50 or so PayPal refunds, I don't understand his mindset at all.NSDs 7/20
