Hi and Merry Christmas! It's the uncertainty that's the worst thing for me at the moment. I'm still (probably naively!) hoping it will come today, so daren't leave the house empty etc.and I'll be spending far too much time listening and looking out of the window, when I should be doing other things! Fortunately I received the small hampers I ordered for presents and the big Christmas one (ordered in August) that I'm getting for treats for the family is the one that hasn't come, so not vital to Christmas plans. Here's hoping it comes today though. FIngers crossed for everyone.

    morning :)

up till now I didn't really comment on here(but read every single post!) nor was I shouting at this joke of a 'businessman' to get my hampers to me simply because:
-I wasn't in hurry and like I told him as long as they're with me BY 21st of December I'll be fine
-they weren't meant to be xmas pressies(well they would be extra ones if they arrived but it's not like I now have to go and replace them)

I ordered the 12+12 deal in November and Neil said I can have 4 the first week of December and possibly more(I asked for 12 before xmas) for later delivery which I said is fine. As you probably guessed I'm still sitting here with none... I escalated my paypal claim on Saturday but not sure how much of a chance for the money back...

HOWEVER I really feel for those who were let down and can not afford to loose this money :( I hope this clown gets what he deserves!

As for those who got their orders(lucky few!) and keep sticking up for him: really?!?!?! I think it's obvious he let most of the customers down(be it suppliers issues/couriers or whatever) and he should do the decent thing to answer emails/calls and issue refunds asap! As many said before the worst bit is all the LIES he kept telling...

I also would like to apologise to candy222 for thinking her warnings were ott :A I know we were all hoping for a nice deal and didn't want to listen but if she only put off a few people ordering from Neil she saved them lots of stress and money :T I'm well jel of them :rotfl:

Wishing you all a Merry Christmas :)

ok time to talk iv been following this page but might of missed some bit's.

iv seen some one quote some of my twitter post's here it did make me a little bit mad but ow well .

i have stuck up for this guy and his company as i won a nice prize and my wife met him at the ideal home show and said very nice guy . i think there has been some not nice thing's said here . there has been some very good point's made as well so iv come on to say what iv not got. this has messed up my whole Christmas missing gift's miss treat's for us i think he has just taken on more then he can cope with .

    i have 3 order's out standing
    christmas special
    chocolate hamper deal
and bit's i added and payed full price for

so as you can see im in it for lots of cash :(

im going to clear up one or two thing's iv seen .

at the ideal home show he was only selling full price stuff .

he can print up labels for ukmail when ever he likes as there only go live when there scanned in buy driver or at depot so with out tracking numbers you will not know when it was picked up and i say any one that has had delivery check the number on the label to see pick up day .

sorry, can't spell very well and my grammar is even worse.

One of the nicest and most charming customers I ever met in the bank I worked for 20+ years ago was attempting to pull a version of the 419 Nigerian scam on me and was arrested . I swear if I had had access to the £3000 he wanted I would have lent it to him myself. Even if he is really nice it would not stop him being a terrible business man with no idea how to handle orders and customers.

Any business can get into trouble but to try and lie your way out of it is not the mark of a 'good person', I am sure he is upset but so are the many people on here who have been left in real difficulty.

I hope as many as you as possible get deliveries today, but I suspect not all of you will and those that do will not be getting the sort of luxury goods you thought you had paid for.

Feel free to look through this thread, all the drama Neil was putting on twitter about what was being said on here wasn't true. At worst someone said they were going to the shop to get their goods, as late as last week most people were patiently waiting.

  • Hi everyone - I too haven't posted until now, but had been reading with interest as I too ordered the 12 hampers for £90 and the extra 12 for £20, and hasn't had a delivery.

I did try contact the shop via email / phone / twitter, and Neil did reply to my tweet (?) saying I would receive them by Christmas.

I spoke with ukmail on Friday who said they did have a delivery for me, due today by lunchtime from nhcompany.

I was given a consignment number from ukmail, have just tracked it and says out for delivery so looks like I may receive something at least, although who's to say what!

Once (if!) I receive them I will pop on and let you know, but looks like there are at least deliveries to be made today.

It's not the first company he's had. Gift Baskets Galore Ltd was dissolved in 2009.
  • I received all 12 of my hampers on Friday evening.

    - 2 'Just Cheese' both we're damaged
    - 1x 'Christmas Hamper' - this was rubbish and no were near worth £30 I've bulked it up with additional stuff
    - 1x Posh Pop/Crisps hamper - came in a nice wooden box, 4 packets of crisps and 5 small bottles of pop
    - 1x Custom Jelly Bean Hamper - had 1 jar of jelly beans and rest were boiled sweets!
    - 1x Sweetie shop hamper - this was disappointing, I've added additional stuff
    - 6x Galaxy hampers - each of these varied, some stuff had lots in, some didn't...

Overall for what I paid I'm happy, however I would not have been happy with paying full price.

I also ordered a chilli hamper but this was changed to an additional 'Just Cheese'.

I emailed Neil on Wednesday demanding an update on delivery progress, as I was expecting delivery 2nd week of December. He told me they were being sent out on Wed, to get to me on Thursday. Thursday comes and no hampers. I emailed requesting a refund and expressed I was not impressed with the lies, then decided to Tweet UKMail for an update who told me they had been picked up on Thursday and would be out for delivery on Friday.

    Neil replied to my email:

"one thing i do not do is lie and i find that quite offensive i have sent your hampers like i said."

I think the issue here is a small business has simply took on too much, however that is no excuse for poor customer service or for telling lies to paying customers. I really feel for the people who haven't received their hampers and I hope you all get the refunds you deserve.

What I don't understand is why orders made in October have only been dispatched now... I don't see how this can be a cashflow issue, as customers make payments upfront before receiving any goods.

    Merry Christmas guys.
  • Can anyone find the UK mail contact no? It is on here but I can't find it. May as well ring and find out, as I need to replace most of my family's gifts today if there is nothing coming!!
