Do i try to get my money back? i got the 12 + 12 deal ? I have recieved the first two? Advice please would be great?

I am nowhere near up to speed on this thread but I am in the same position, I have kept both of the sh** hampers I received, in the original box and intact so he can have them back if he wants to collect them, I have raised a paypal claim and I immediately escalated it so he has 30 days to sort it out or I get my money back, hth x

Got to the point where I don't want a delivery, just want the money back.

Presents have all been replaced as they had to be given out this weekend and I certainly aren't trusting this company to delivery hampers every month.

If a delivery did turn up tomorrow I'd refuse it.

I thought about this and if it should show tomorrow well first off and after id picked my self off the floor I did say i'd refuse to accept it BUT i think i'd take it because im going down the charge back route too BUT even that isn't guaranteed im well out of the 45 day pay pal timescale
so even though i'm not holing out any hopes anything at this stage is better than nothing
so id take it and continue to fight for anything else that was owed to me
  • We live about 50 miles from Gt Yarmouth and, when thinking about our family day out today, I suggested we pop to the seaside and visit him - just to see if the shop was open, you understand!! My husband, however, refused as he thinks I've become totally obsessed by 'Hampergate' so we went to the Suffolk coast instead.

Well, I can't have the man ruin my marriage as well as my Christmas!! :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

wow up to 37 thanks now and thats just this thread. only 60 orders my !!!..

About 6-7 days ago when I posted a headcount we were at about 55 of us waiting on approx 200 hampers. I know some have been received now but nowhere near enough to bring down numbers to 60. And thats just those of us posting here, never mind from elsewhere.
  • I don't know what to do now if they turn up by some miracle tomorrow. I've made contingency plans now and after the way we've all been treated I would rather just have my money back but that might be easier said than done because I'm out of the 45 day PayPal limit. I've raised a claim with my CC company so I'll wait and see.

I don't want him to ruin my christmas. I've learnt the hard way but never again. Hope he gets his just desserts. Flaming liar!!

  • Hi folks, sorry for the late reply. i've been out all day, a luxury since hampergate started! Yes it was a UK Mail delivery that brought my hampers this am. The just add cheese are exactly the same as previous posters, no port chutney though. I have given them out but think it was mixed fruit chutney instead. I paid £55 for 6 hapers - 2 just add cheese, 2 Galaxy and 2 Christmas. The just add cheese we now know retails at £14.99, (x 2 =£30), the Galaxy contents were worth about £8 maxi eac (x2 £16), and the Christmas contents I'd estimate at max £6 (x2 = £12) so just breaking even plus the baskets for free.

I paid for 12 + 12 on 24 nov. Nothing received to date.

Will shop for replacement presents tomorrow. Will not wait and waste another day. Christmas Eve I should be last minute wrapping not shopping.
    Best wishes to all xxxxx

Even though you haven't sworn on Twitter, I'd think twice about tweeting the company in the way you have done tonight. Neil comes across as a very sensitive man :)
