The Norfolk hamper company thread

I luckily paid by Visa so I eventually get my money back, it can take up to six weeks, I feel so sorry for those that have paid by palpal and debit card.
I was lucky enough to go and order another hamper from a company called hamper.com, ordered it at 11am yesterday and its out for delivery today.
It's probably easier to get your money back from paypal than a credit card. Did you pay over £100, as I think maybe you have to pay over £100 to claim from the card compnay.0 -
he could have 'nicked' the blueberry pics, and ideas maybe?
maybe get watchdog involved?
maybe the police, as it could be a fraud thing, he was still taking orders, while struggling with orders..
I personally thin 'IF' any hampers have been sent out, then the quality isnt going to be that good..
maybe with the emails you are now getting, it looks as though he has given up on packing, and could possibly be stalling for time. to weigh up hs options..
obviously his reputations is now lower than low..especially with the local publicity, and trading standards involved.
possibly money owing for stock in hand, or owed..
the b.a.l.l.s up on delivery costs on those monthly hamper deals..
looks as though he went too big too quick and just couldnt cope.
If you are outside the 45 day thing with paypal, it would def be worth you all phoning paypal, and tell them about it being a pre-order.. and fingers crossed them might do something... especially as there are now so many claims being put in... it must be flagging them up by nowWork to live= not live to work0 -

LOL sorry I hadn't read your post Princess. I think it has mainly affected those that seem to have ordered later on in the year. Don't suppose you want to go third shares your Xmas hamper with me and my sis do you LOL :rotfl:24 beers in a case - 24 hours in a day. Coincidence? :beer:0 -

If you call later in the year September 16th, then I would agree with you. He was still taking orders up to 12th December that I'm aware of whilst knowing full well he wasn't going to be able to fulfil the orders. Shame on him.0 -

Have you not received anything then Max since Sept? Sorry a lot of posts I had read were saying ordered Nov/Dec. I didn't realise there were deals on so late TBH, and to still be taking on the 12th, when others haven't been fulfilled, I whole heartedly agree is ridiculous.24 beers in a case - 24 hours in a day. I paid £59.99 on my AMEX card via paypal on 8/10/2012 so out of time for the 45 day rule with paypal. I phoned AMEX last night and they have opened my dispute, apparently AMEX's limit is £25? At least somethings going my way with this fiasco! I only took the card out for the airmiles!!:mad::mad:0 -
I just sent another email simply asking for an honest answer. Will I get any hampers before christmas? Surprise I get the same email back saying we are not answering any emails. I feel like jumping in the car and driving the 100 miles myself to find out what's going on.:A

I also have to say I'm a little disappointed that Martin has not popped in to offer a little consumer advice/support.:A

I've always wondered why Neil has been so defensive and saying that the Police are involved blah blah blah....
Now I know why.
Here's a link to their shop on Google Maps:
