My in-laws don't have much luck with Christmas presents from us. Last year we bought them a champagne afternoon tea at a posh hotel (paid the hotel directly). By the time they got round to going, the hotel had been taken over and the new company would not honour the gift token. This year they were due to be receiving monthly hampers!0

vat is turnover related.
ltd company means no one can touch his private assets if the ltd company goes belly up...
can anyone go into companies house to see his returns etc? you can also see if they are having any financial problems etc..
this info might give you an inside of any potential problems in the future.Work to live= not live to work0 -
Sorry to all you guys, glad I didn't order, there were just too many threads being opened with great hamper deals for My liking.
Here is a thought though, when i first started reading this thread, there were several people who lived near the shop he was trading out of, they were collecting their hampers, maybe one of them could go and check, if the shops open, maybe you all stand a chance at least.
Good luck to all those effected.Lose 28lb 3/28lb

I did it via twitter, UK Mail have been such an efficient company to deal with this week.
Although it is a relief to know at least some of my order is on its way, I do have concerns about continuing to deal with this company all year as part of the 12 + 12 deal, and what my rights are re PayPal etc if I have received some of the hampers but it all goes (even more) pear-shaped at a later stage.
Looking at the terms and conditions on the hamper website it looks like if you request a refund once you have received any hampers from the deal they will deduct the full retail value not the deal price from the refund.0 -
Right, Ive done my 3 paypal claims (sent complaint regarding the 1st one as out of their timescale but referred to the other 2 so they can see its all the same!)
Ive also filled in the form posted earlier for Citizens Advice etc.
Emailed him asking for refund, stating Ive put in Paypal claims and so all he has to is press the refund button.
Thats all I can do, apart from now try and get 19 gifts to people, without money, without couriers, without having anything purchased
Oh and fit in work inbetweenand also hold a kids xmas party !!
Need to swap my reindeer antlers for a superwoman cape again me thinks lol !!0 -
