I am due a delivery later - does anyone have any details of what was meant to be in the first of the 12 + 12 deal? I know it was meant to be a Christmas theme, but not sure what to 'expect'. Incidentally, although UKMail say that there is something out for me, I have not received a dispatch notice and had already informed him of my paypal dispute yesterday and also requested a cancellation and refund this morning.

Did you not choose your first two christmas hampers? I thought we had to choose so I had chosen a cheese one and a christmas pudding/cake one. The just need cheese one is the one that sticks in my head as i have the cheese but not the hamper! :o
  • what if you all contact the trading standards in the company's area?

surely they got to act on them, and he cant talk his way out of it with sooooooooooooooooooooo many complaints being done.

No, I thought that you could request certain ones if you wanted, but the default hamper was the christmas one? I definitely didn't request a particular hamper.

Just seen a tweet from someone who ordered on 12th Dec asking where their stuff is. It hadn't crossed my mind even that with this fiasco happening he would be continuing to take orders for Christmas. Beyond shocking!

I think by this stage he realised he hadn't got enough money to pay his suppliers so he was having to take more orders in some sort of hamper Ponzi scheme.

I was expecting a 'Christmas' one as well, as part of the 12 deal ...but I got a damaged 'Just add cheese one' which is no good to me at all, not to mention it came yesterday and not in the first week of December!
I wonder if they ran out of Christmas items.

Nothing for me today either, and as I ordered in October I'm out of the 45 day window for a Paypal dispute.

I'm stuck in the house with a poorly son so we can't get out to the shops to replace the 6 presents that I'm missing and our family are travelling up this weekend to exchange gifts. :(

I know there is far worse going on in the world, but I still want to cry. I just feel so embarrassed knowing I will be empty handed tomorrow.:o

I know it's not the same, but could you buy some of those 'experience' type days online, or restaurant deal, where you could print the certificates. Have a look at places like Buy a gift, Red letter days, Groupon etc

I bought an afternoon tea for 2 for £15 recently, and then you would have something without leaving the house.

    Or magazine subscriptions maybe.

The fact that the Christmas hampers have still been available throughout December for new customers to order is so annoying as it means even when they got unprecedented orders through and needed to start planning a work strategy and more staff to get everything out they continued to allow new orders to come in on top of this - also feel very sorry for new customers as they have would not know there is a problem.

My order for 24 hampers was taken 23rd November and if he was already too busy to handle the workload then my order should have never have been taken either

And thank you Norfolk Trading Standards for the welcome help - it had felt like we had been completely abandoned as I really thought someone from MSE would have stepped into help before now.

Those of you who have received part of an ongoing deal (eg 12+12), do you mind if I ask what you intend to do about the rest of the 'contract'? Are you going to keep the hampers you have received, even though they are late/not as advertised?
