I assume this means that some people will get theirs before christmas day (which is no use to those who needed them earlier, I know). It's a shame they're not making an assessment of which orders they can fill and offering refunds to the other customers.
As for earlier comments about people who had supported the company previously or brown-nosed on twitter I think they've probably got a 6 or 12 month deal that they need to try to recoup some of the value of, so are hoping that by not joining in the backlash he is more likely to send them something in Jan and hopefully the following months after all this has died down. Selfish I know, but I'm sure people are following the thread with their fingers crossed for everyone else.
Thanks for your concern. However, looking at the sheer number of people on here who haven't had their orders, and the ones on UK Mail's Twitter feed, there are just far too many hampers for them to possibly get out before Christmas. This is despite the lies about extra staff, and the lies about items being despatched. I have now asked for a full refund. I don't think this idiot has even an ounce of remorse in his body for the problems, misery, worry and heartache he has caused genuine people with his actions.0 -
Ok Ive done a paypal claim, well 3 !
1st one is out of the 45 days, so I still opened a dispute, and it automatically closed it.
Does that mean that they wont even consider getting money back for this one, and I have to small claim court it??
Or did I do it wrong lol !! Any advice welcome !0 -
Some good news for me, just got an email from M&S confirming that my 2 hampers, that I ordered in the glitch last week, are being delivered tomorrow :j
They are the chilled food ones, including some booze too, so Although most of the contents are for our use over Christmas, at least I'll be able to use some of the bits from there, to pad out the smaller hampers I've already received from NHC (that were supposed to be for raffle prizes) for my parents and in-laws pressies.
Good old M&S, even though it was a glitch, they've honoured my order and I've no doubt they will arrive as promised (Oh God pleeeeease!) Now that's great customer service!!!0 -
Nothing for me again today. It really is time to give up hope and go and replace these gifts isn't it.:A

nothing for me either
won't be buying any replacement either......
I need to start saving so I plan to save £2 a week to start with:beer:0 -
I really feel for all your people let down
I am overrun with Hampers I don't need as they were so late and I had to replace.
I had to report in too that I just received a hamper as a gift (not NHC obviously) from someone who was supposed to get a hamper from me but it was too late to send it! The irony is amazing!0 -
Nothing for me today either, and as I ordered in October I'm out of the 45 day window for a Paypal dispute.
I'm stuck in the house with a poorly son so we can't get out to the shops to replace the 6 presents that I'm missing and our family are travelling up this weekend to exchange gifts.
I know there is far worse going on in the world, but I still want to cry. I just feel so embarrassed knowing I will be empty handed tomorrow.:o0 -
I am due a delivery later - does anyone have any details of what was meant to be in the first of the 12 + 12 deal? I know it was meant to be a Christmas theme, but not sure what to 'expect'. Incidentally, although UKMail say that there is something out for me, I have not received a dispatch notice and had already informed him of my paypal dispute yesterday and also requested a cancellation and refund this morning.0

The fact that the Christmas hampers have still been available throughout December for new customers to order is so annoying as it means even when they got unprecedented orders through and needed to start planning a work strategy and more staff to get everything out they continued to allow new orders to come in on top of this - also feel very sorry for new customers as they have would not know there is a problem.
My order for 24 hampers was taken 23rd November and if he was already too busy to handle the workload then my order should have never have been taken either
And thank you Norfolk Trading Standards for the welcome help - it had felt like we had been completely abandoned as I really thought someone from MSE would have stepped into help before now.0
