  • Well entered into a PayPal dispute, I will also get myself to the shops and get the hampers together for the gifts required, I have cancelled via NCH website and via PayPal. Obviously like everyone else I am out of pocket having paid then having to fork out again for gifts. I actually cannot find the words to express how angry I am, to affect so many people, times are hard enough at the moment and generally a lot of people are struggling to make ends meet. This situation has come about by greed and extremely poor management.
  • Have filled in my online form to the Citizens Advice.

Had a missed call when I was driving this morning- was a Great Yarmouth code... must have been the newspaper as well! ShameI missed it!!

Accepting that I am now not going to get my hampers before Christmas but worrying about why he isn't simply refunding our money- how many other people are concerned that he hasn't got the cash to do refunds to us all?

I know it's not the same, but could you buy some of those 'experience' type days online, or restaurant deal, where you could print the certificates. Have a look at places like Buy a gift, Red letter days, Groupon etc

I bought an afternoon tea for 2 for £15 recently, and then you would have something without leaving the house.

    Or magazine subscriptions maybe.

Thanks for the idea and taking the trouble to post the links, it is much appreciated. This will definitely be my fallback tomorrow if they don't arrive. I would do it now but am scared I will be out of pocket even more if the hampers turn up!

I don't know to be honest as it's way past 45 days from the date the money was paid. If not, my paypal is linked to my credit card so I should be able to claim from them.

If he's is not looking at emails, he may not be aware of cancellations (unlikely but possible). I have had to use the PayPal dispute system before and did manage to get my money returned. He must have our money still he obviously has not spent it on the products judging by what people have received and certainly not on staff has so few have received their goods maybe its shoe leather from pacing.

I tried to raise a dispute but it was immediately closed by PayPal, no communication. I believe PayPal should not allow companies to give us te option of using PayPal for items bought in a pre order type situation that means we have no protection as it automatically takes us out of the 45 day rule :(
Mine was linked to my debit card too so I am totally screwed. Goodbye money!

If anyone wants to do that as a last minute present to replace the hamper and as tesco clubcard points I noticed on there last night you can use them for an afternoon tea for two and deluxe afternoon tea for two so that might help someone out of a tricky situation without needing actual cash.
  • I think I have discovered what has added to the delays......

The 2 in the middle are the extra help taken on to pack the hampers!! ;););)
