Just received my phone call from Dell. Spec of 2200 as already stated and should receive it within seven working days.

Very happy with the way its working out.

Does anyone have a contact name or number for dell, I seem to be getting the run around by the indian call centre. They keep wanting to cancel the order and give me an alternative laptop. Which I fear will be more expensive than the £480 for the 1150?

Please help I am getting no where!

From bitter personal experiece it seems the only thing you can do is wait for them to call. Emails of complaint or phone calls don't seem to have any effect. From other posts in this thread, I am not the only person who has found this. Sorry I can't be more positive.

Agghhhh - when did you order yours? I did mine on the 8th April.

IDSCO - dont worry, you'll do as well as the rest of us. The Irish guy I was speaking to this morning said they were absolutely swamped with orders for the 1150 as it was such a great deal. I got the original order cancelled email followed by the order delayed email.
They will get round to you eventually. I think they are not replying to emails of complaint as they are working on the problem as fast as they can. I reckon you will get word shortly.

The Indian girl this morning said that she has reinstated my order as it was cancelled. So I wonder how long I will have to wait for the call.

The problem is the laptop is for my missus, and her only requirement was that it haad to be silver (as they dont do pink ones). But looking at the 2200 which seems a good repalcement technically it is black . Going to have to break the news to her tonight.

Just told the same by customer service. Oh dear!
