dunno about you guys but having just recently purchased my laptop from dell i just cant get use to the finger mouse operation!! Anyway was searching high and low saturday for a wireless optical mouse, i learned that you can pick up reasonably cheap ones with a ps/2 plug...but the cheapest decent usb wireless optical ones i came across was around 25 pounds...just before grudgingly picking up one of these i came across the cutest mouse i ever seen in staples!! a super mini mouse, it is wired...but for just 11.25 with retractable wire, usb plug and silver to match my dell 1150.... i just had to have it!! its so neat it fits well for the small square surface you have next to the finger mouse pad thing and ideal for my 4 year old's little hands for when shes playing on ceebeebies site...how does every one else cope with that finger pad thing? any tips?

    product information

I bought an optical wireless mini mouse as you describe from Lidl a couple of weeks ago for the princely sum of ..... £7.99 :j

Just had the phone call, although I have sent three emails today complaining.

But it did not seem as though they are related.
  • Ordered on 9th April at 4.30pm and no phone call yet, does seem a bit random.
I gave my mobile as contact number, I wonder if this makes any difference.
What type of number did everyone else give?

Mobile number - looking at the spec they are offering it really is a good deal, the new 2200 laptop comes to well over £1250 for the same price as the 1150 £480.

So even though it is black i think i will go for it, I shall confirm with them tomorrow, they also mentioned that i should have it by friday.

In all fairness to them this is a good deal, and it seems as though they have had a lot of ppl go for the 1150 in the first place, although slow to respond all credit to them for the replacement.

Here we go again. Just found out that the new 2200 delivery date has been moved from 5 May to 11 May due to part shortages. This is how the 1150 debacle started.

just checked my order online - back from 2nd to 12th May! It will 5 weeks from order to delivery soon!!! :(
  • I have just spoken with DELL and despite having the 2 pdf files on email, they state it is impossible to replace with the same spec when I said they were obliged too.
I got put from customer care back to sales twice till I had had enough and said I want to speak to a supervisor, I then got told he is in a meeting and will ring me back in the next 2 hours (I am not hopeful)
Looks like I am getting shafted

I too have spoken to Dell today and have been assured I will receive a phone call today, without fail....

But I'm not holding my breath!
