I spoke to the escalations department and refused to wait for a call back. They finally put me through to the person who rebooked my order should be with me by Friday!!!

Dont have a direct line for the person who did this but if you go through the standard internet order phone number and ask to speak to someone in escalations.

I think the key to success is refusing a call back!

p.s. they asked me if I would fill in a customer care survey,

gladly I said,

OK I thought but they're not gonna like it.

I have been rude,aggressive,pushy and abusive and it got me the rebook of the order today.
Hallelujah and thank you to puno and to going senile for their advice.
I do not know when delivery will be but I now have a confirmed order rebook and without this site I would have given up long ago.

When you say rebook of the order, do you mean the 2200 one mentioned elsewhere in the thread and if it is, is it at the same price as the 1150 and does it also include the printer?

Great news Frugal_Moose! A real pity you seem to have had the most hassle getting things sorted, but it IS worth it - typing this on my 2200.

When I checked my order status online after getting 'The Call' it showed just over two weeks till estimated despatch. In reality it jumped from preproduction to despatched after five days, so hopefully yours won't be long in appearing on the doorstep.

First time writing in a forum so excuse me for language.
Today Confirmed my order for inspiron 2200 and got the delivery date of 15/05/2005.
thanks to IDSCO, the number you have given is right.
rung the lady and she sent me a quote for inspiron 2200

Inspiron 2200 with intel pentium M 715a (1.5ghz, 2 mb cache, 400 mhz fsb)
1280mb RAM
60 gb 5400 rpm hdd
Wireless etc.

the all in one printer was not included so i sent mail again demanding the all in one printer and pnetium M 725 (1.6GHZ, 2 MB CACHE, 400FSB) PROCESSOR, but got the printer added to the order. couldnt manage to get the M 725 PROCESSOR though.

i think the key is polite communiation.

I hope that everyone would get the same response.
