    Hi all

I am currently on a debt management plan and have been for nearly 2 years.

Am I able to/Is it worth putting in a claim to reclaim my bank charges?

    Many thanks

    Hi,

My mum has been on a payment programme via the CCCS repaying on credit cards. She owes almost £30,000, quite a lot of which is due to charges. (she buried her head in the sand til I finally got a peek at her finances). Anyway the question is, could these credit card companies cancel her programme if she puts a claim in? The charges were stopped and she pays £150 per month. The other problem is she is due to retire next year so won't actually be able to afford these payments on her pension.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks

  • Hi all, I would be very grateful for some information on reclaiming credit card charges. I have two credit cards that have been frozen due to the fact that I have an arrangement with them to pay a negotiated amount due to my financial circumstances. They are happy receiving this negotiated minimum payment and no further interest is being added. I would like to write to these companies to request statement from the last six years to proceed with reclaiming any credit card charges I would be eligible for. I am concerned that requesting statements and then applying for any monies owed would impact on my arrangement I have. I would be very grateful for any information anyone may have, or if anyone is reclaiming and in similar circumstances.

    Thanks
  • Hi everyone,
I'm in the same situation as Joe London and would be grateful for any advice on reclaiming credit card charges and the effects they would have on a manged debt plan.

    Thanks

I have two credit cards which are maxed out and currently on a dmp,is there a way to claim back the credit card costs and get them to send me a cheque or pay into my bank account instead of being refunded into my credit cards which i cant use.

Hi 1st timer! I am currently subject to an IVA, 3 creditors include Barclays, Halifax and RBS who i owed between £1000-£2000 as i had a student overdraft with each bank. I know i had bank charges with all 3 banks but i still owe them money which is getting repaid via IVA.

Is there any point claiming for bank charges or will they just take it back saying i owe them money anyway for the overdrafts???

    Any advice would be appreciated
