I hope someone will be able to advise me! I have accrued lots of charges over the years on various credit cards. I now have a debt management plan with the CCCS and am wary of reclaiming charges in case the credit card company then refuses to allow me to keep my CCCS agreement going. Please advise!0

definitely go for it.
I have been getting mine back since last year (£6000+) and i'm 2 years into my IVA.
Some will be clever and pay it towards your debt, whereas others will just pop cheques in the post directly to you.
Good Luck!!0 -

can anyone tell me if you can reclaim bank charges if you filed for bankruptcy but are now discharged?0

Hi, my partner and I have completed an IVA recently and it included our bank accounts that had charges on them. As the IVA is now complete does anyone know if we can still reclaim some or all of the charges, as it was those charges that made the repayment harder!
HELP!!!0 -
Hi,
To the best of my knowledge I would say yes, as long as they are within the 6 year period.0 -
Hello all,
I am currently on dmp (since 02/07), could I still claim bank charges? I received a bank statement from my cr. c acc. yesterday and the bank started charging me for the interest again. I have to wait until the bank approve of the interest being frozen (again) and it'll be for 6 months only. Could I claim these charges as well? If they freeze the interest only for 6 months and then charge for it again, I will never pay the balance off!
Many thanks,

Hi, I'm sorry if the answer to my question is posted elsewhere but I just can't find it!!!
I have recently had to move banks following big arguements with the halifax over my od repayment. I set up a DMP to pay them back tosort this out.
On the advice of the cccs I switched to HSBC for my everyday banking.
Following this I went through all my statements and realised that Halifax have taken £2049 off me since May last year. I sent in the list of charges and letter in Jan and received the standard sorry you aren;t happy we will look into it letter about two wks later but have heard nothing since!!!
I had been leaving it because of the test case but now I'm starting to wonder if I should be contacting them again. As the amount of money would alomst pay off my overdraft with them meaning my other creditors can get more money I would like to get it back asap!!!!! The only reason I ended up with a DMP was that halifax were asking for £250 pm and £50 interest out of my wages and when I tried to say look I can;t afford that they told me I had to get an official financial statement!
Anyway I would be very grateful for any advice on this!!
