  • Moving forward is definitely the plan!

Another NSD for me yesterday :) I desperately need some milk but I dont want to buy any and ruin my NSDs!

Applied for a 0% balance transfer card today to move one of my cc debts thats currently on a 39.9 APR! Painful!

Still dont have the internet at home yet. Been waiting for the openreach engineers to reactivate my line which they have to come to my house and do. Thanfully they are coming next week and Sky havent charged me anything whilst Ive been waiting.

  • Well done on your NSD. Struggled a bit this month already but really need to NOT spend for most of the month coz went a bit OTT in the sales :o (though not excessive compared to some people I'm sure!) Still have savings and still have no debt so I shouldn't complain!

Fingers crossed for the 0% :D

When's date night? Hopefully you'll have more luck with the guys than me and unixgirluk!!!! :rotfl:

Ditto. I really am short of pennies this month so the more NSDs the better. I'm def aiming to get into double figures!

I've been accepted intially and signed a credit agreement so fingers crossed that all goes through.

Not seeing him again until next week now because he's visiting his parents this weekend :(

I don't usually have much luck when it comes to men so don't count on it!! hehe

  • Well we're both on 3 NSDs at the min. I'm aiming for 10 (again!!!!) Competition time?! ;)

Absence makes the heart grow fonder. Apparently!!! :) He live near you?

Well done on ebay! I listed 50 things. Sold one. And now can't find it so had to cancel the thing! Gutted :( (well, buyer still hadn't paid so not major, but still not good)

Let's do it! 10 is def a good number to aim for :)

I hope so! He lives in London too, but unfortunately he lives the other side of town which in distance isnt far, but on public transport can take up to an hour!

I am going to have a hunt around tonight and see if I can list a few more things. But I dont think I have any "big ticket" items left. :(

  • Hello all, sorry for the radio silence my end. Last week was just one of those weeks!

I had two migraines which then turned into a 3 day headache which finally disappeared on Sunday morning, but in its place I had the dreaded female delight. Lovely.

I did manage to get out in the snow, Greenwich Park was so beautiful. We could resist throwing a few snowballs..such children!:D

I had an interview as well last week, for a similar job to what Im doing now, but for a smaller company, better atmosphere and they are looking for someone to takeover a team of 5 people in the next few months too, so it would be a great step up for me. Fingers crossed!

We finally have the internet at my new place! Which is just as well because Ive had to work from home this last week.

In the office today though, but I feel like the only one! So quiet here, and the trains are getting worse so who knows what time I'll get home tonight.

Unfortunately the new fella gave me the "Im not ready for commitment" chat (via text) which was pretty disappointing. He's been texting me all week to "find a compromise" but I cant really see how it will work without me getting hurt in the long term. We'll see I guess.

1 more week until payday and I have 33p in my bank account. I'll have to put my £30 travelcard on my credit card but I dont need to buy any food this week so I should be ok.

I need to have another hunt for ebay potentials.

How is everyone? I would like to be warm soon, it feels like my bones are cold!

  • Hello

Thanks for the update! Things have been a bit up and down for you by sounds of it! :p

Fingers crossed on the job front! That'd be great! :)

Bummer about the new guy! :p What is it with guys and commitment?! At least he's being up front with you about that instead of stringing you along for weeks/months and then deciding he doesn't want commitment. This way you can decide yourself what you want to do. Just take things easy for a while and see what happens :)

 33p in your bank account?! Good luck on that one!! lol. Least you've most of the essentials got already!

I've loads of stuff on ebay and bids on 1 :P One better than none though I guess!

  • On a bit of a downer today. Despite paying my loan and overpaying on the credit cards this month, my debt has actually gone up. Again! :( By £297.

I feel like I'm doing so much to be MSE and yet I'm getting further in the red. I know we've just had christmas and january is always a long month for everyone, but I really hadnt thought it would go up. Serves me right I guess for moving in the same month as xmas.

I know I've had to use my credit card and not just for frivalous spending - I really had no choice, but I just want to be able to see that my hard work is paying off.

But, its nearly lunchtime so I'll write this morning off as a bad one, and then move on!

At least I know all the bills have been paid now for this month so I can really budget properly. I was thinking of giving myself a weekly allowance in cash so I cant "accidentally" overspend. There's a few ebay items I can list tonight too.

I really am trying to be positive, but its hard when I seem to be going backwards. :(

  • Aw *hug* :)

You've been doing really well! Don't let the last couple of months get you down. Christmas and January is tough for everyone, no matter how well you budget apparently! :p

Agree with the weekly allowance. I work in cash and cash only. I lift my 'allowance' on a Friday and that's to do for all groceries, fuel, treats and everything. Soooo much easier to keep a track of what you're spending without actually counting every single penny as such.
(have to confess I didn't actually do that in January and now have literally a few pounds left til payday )

You've paid your loan and overpaid on your cc this month so well done :T

But yes, try not to move over Christmas next time ;) lol
