Hello all, I've been keeping my head down recently, had a lot going on. Plus its really easy for people to see my screen here at work so I don't want to be on here too often.
I found it really hard to accept the fact that despite all my hard work, my debt was going up every month, but I've been overpaying bits here and there so fingers crossed that brings it down so this month's wages will actually reduce it.
Amidst all the doom of the debt mountain, I've got some really good news! I applied for a job back in September and the interview went really well so I was gutted to find out that they'd put things on old as they were opening a new office in Singapore. They said to keep in touch so I did, but as it was now 5 months later I had just about given up hope.. When they called me last Friday and said they had another (more senior) role that they thought Id be perfect for.:j:j I went in to interview on Monday morning, and got offered the job on Monday night!:T Yayy!!! Its a big step up from what I'm doing now, I'll have to manage a team of people plus the whole of their London office. They are expanding rapidly all over the world so they want me to travel too...Cue business trips to Hong Kong and Singapore! Amazing!
I'm so so happy! The basic pay is slightly less than what I'm on now, but they pay out quarterly bonuses which works out at 10% of my salary a year. My immediate thought was a nice chunk of debt repayment every 3 months would certainly help things!
I've been trying to get myself something like this for a while now so its amazing that I've actually managed it!

Aw I'm sure you'll be more than capable! Always good to keep in touch with ones from work, but guess it depends on how close you are to begin with. Very true. There's a small group of us girls that lunch and stuff together so I'd hope we'd stay in touch. We'll see I guess...
..So this boy.. we've got on from the word go, and things had got progressively more flirty until he suggested a drink, and took my number....and then I found out he had a girlfriend! I was majorly peed off to start with because he hadnt been honest, but he apologised and we stayed in touch on a work/friendly basis.
We went for a drink last night, his idea. I probably should have said no, but I couldnt resist.
We had a great night and honestly, it did feel like a date. Im a bit gutted really. Nothing happened, but I really want it to now. Obviously, Im not going to take it any further than a bit of flirty banter but I wish I could.
