You do realise if you sell your tv stand and necklace you'll have 2 things to add to your declutter total?
We'll help you with the no spend days (I need to be careful as well). What food items do you have? I'm not bad with the slow cooker so could point you in the right direction if you want.CC2 = £8687.86 ([STRIKE]£10000[/STRIKE] )CC1 = £0 ([STRIKE]£9983[/STRIKE] ); Reusing shopping bags savings =£5.80 vs spent £1.05.Wine is like opera. That's very true! Excellent! I also threw out a bag of clothes (not sellable unfortunately) but that was before the new year...does that count?! hehe
I did the biggest asda shop over the hols and it arrived last night. I stocked up on all the basic store cupboard items and made the most of my freezer. They messed up something on my order so now I have lots of soup too.
I've got chicken thighs, diced lamb, and two large packs of mince so I was thinking of making a big of pot of stuff in the slow cooker and then splitting into pencakes sized portions. Im thinking lamb stew, a chilli and spag bol. But Im not sure what to do with the chicken...Maybe a curry?
I even made my own lunch and remembered to bring it in. I never do this, so its a real concerted effort from me to make sure Im being truly MSE. :A
I've got a quiet weekend ahead so I need to reorganise my room a bit (declutter oppurtunities aplenty here!) and I can spend time putting together a meal planner. And put those trainers and go out for that run I promised myself I would do.
I wish it was Friday everyday!Total: £50,676 £0 🥳 The journey to debt freedom0 -
Oooo just worked out that the default on my credit report will expire in 6 months! :j:j 6 years is a long time!
I've just signed up to be on the electoral roll at my new place too. My credit report is finally going to look good (or not terrible at least!) That is such a good feeling. It makes me even more determined now to work hard at paying off my debts so I dont ever mess that up again!Total: £50,676 £0 🥳 The journey to debt freedom0 -
Hello all!
Mondays are just horrible aren't they! Didn't sleep very well last night either, despite going on a very lovely date
I've had a sort of productive weekend, and it would have been very economical if the toilet hadn't got blocked! We now own a plunger! It keeps doing it though so we think there maybe a bigger issue that isn't our fault.. Off to buy some caustic soda tonight so fingers crossed that helps...
I made my first ever lamb stew with a s/c, it was lovely!! I'll get about 3/4 portions out of it so very economical and it tastes great too!
I also had a clear out and reorganised my drawers. I was really tough on myself (I have a few hoarding tendencies) and threw out stuff that I know I wont wear. I've got a box of filing that needs organising too, that can be sorted this week. A couple more days left on my ebay items too so once they are gone that's a pretty successful couple of weeks for de-cluttering!
Yesterday was a NSD too, despite having a date, my travel was already paid for and he paid for dinnerHe's very very handsome (not a word I'd use often but its the best word to describe him!)

Sooooooo... hearing more little snippets about this new guy that's on the scene! I'm liking this
Happy Monday by the way! I'm back at work after 2 weeks off. Roll on half 5Wealth is what you're left with when all your money runs out0 -
This is my first work monday, not working. I was hoping that as most companies were back today I'd hear something but I guess its too early. Well done on the decluttering Pencakes, more to add to your total.CC2 = £8687.86 ([STRIKE]£10000[/STRIKE] )CC1 = £0 ([STRIKE]£9983[/STRIKE] ); Reusing shopping bags savings =£5.80 vs spent £1.05.Wine is like opera. Had a bit of a bad start to the morning, the internet's been down at work so I organised my debt repayment spreadsheet (it includes a mini snowball calculator) and with all the additional moving costs etc I'm now in more debt than I was 3 months ago, which is depressing when I think about how much I paid off in that time. I'm back up to £7,600 now and my DFD has been pushed back 5 months.:( Its a bitter pill to swallow but Ive not really had much choice. I'd be in even more debt if I hadnt saved up a little bit before all this happened.
Despite this I'm trying to not let it get to me, being upset is not going to change anything and I think once January is out of the way I can definitely start overpaying more of my credit cards (I already overpay on one of them) and once the loan is paid off, I'll have an extra £400 a month to knock the ccs on the head.
I'd love to add to my income too so I'm going to put my thinking cap on...Total: £50,676 £0 🥳 The journey to debt freedom0 -

The bits in bold are the important bits to keep you motivatedJust think how bad things would be if you hadn't paid off stuff nor saved up any?!
You've also moved house too. Not exactly 'free', right?!
Christmas is now out of the way too so no more expenses there.
Head down. Money up!!Wealth is what you're left with when all your money runs out0 -
Thanks HAW. It just feels like one of those one step foward two steps back situations.
This month's pay will be my own though - I have no more large expeditures so keeping on top of things and actually reducing my debt will be much easier.
I moved three times in 4 months last year! Thank god I dont have to worry about doing that for at least 12 months!
There may be a possibility of a bonus here so I'm going to keep my head down and work hard.
Ebay will be my friend too!Total: £50,676 £0 🥳 The journey to debt freedom0 -
That's all good then! Moving forward as of this month. And no more moving house for a while either!!Wealth is what you're left with when all your money runs out0
