Oh Pencakes. (((Hugs))). Why did he need the address you're moving to? What did the police say? Keep on at them as you have a right to be safe.

  • Happy New Year everyone!

I have neglected my diary too much! Slap on the wrist for me! That's definitely one of my New Year's resolutions!

Last year was a funny one really, there were some really good times and unfortunately some really bad times too.

I tried to keep my head down a bit after the whole job scam thing because it really upset me, but my editor (I do a bit of freelance writing for a F1/motorsport website) said I should write about it to stop it happening to anyone else. I eventually plucked up the courage to do it and I am so glad I did. I mentioned it on twitter and it became so popular that the magazine's website crashed and I had people messaging me, including the BBC!! The support I received was amazing and restored my faith in the industry and social media. I also had a couple of people (verified non-con artists!) contacting me saying can I send them my CV which is amazing.

Ive not heard anything back yet, but fingers crossed something so bad turns into me actually getting the dream job I want.

Im close to breaking the £7k mark on my debt which is amazing, and it means I can definitely be debt free this year, but I'm really struggling this month for cash so I'll probably have to add some more to the debt first. I am desperate to spend as little as possible though.

My housemate's mum gave us her old slow cooker so I am planning on using that to its full MSE potential! Any tips/recipes welcome!

  • Wow! That's some response! Proud of you for having the courage to open up about what happened. If it even stops the same thing happening to just one more person, it was worth it. Great that you're not letting it get to you any more :)

Well done on your debts too!! :D One step at a time! January can be difficult for a lot of people but so long as you're not going further into debt then don't stress :)

Well done on the article and the debt! Go onto the Old Style board there's a thread on there that is full of slow cooker recipes. I'm about to do bolognaise in mine.

    Thanks both :)

Thats what I thought about the article, because who knows what could happen if he did it again.. could he do something even worse? Not nice thinking about, but Im definitely glad I did it.

Ive just spent the last 30 mins looking at that slow cooker thread, some really yummy ideas in there!

I've got 25 days until payday so things are going to be really tight, but there is no reason I can't cope, Ive just got to keep my head down. I put my TV stand (no room for it in my new place) and a necklace on ebay last night so fingers crossed that helps with the money situ, and I have stocked up my cupboards so I really shouldnt need to do any food shopping until next month, unless its for essentials.

My NSD should be quite high Im hoping!!
