i'm so annoyed  i've been messed about by someone over a £3 item for 8 days and now they aren't going to bother paying for it!
they used buy it now on 2nd April. cost £2.95, postage £4.95 as item is quite heavy at over 1kg.
i noticed they were local and guessed that they might want to collect, even though collection was not actually an option.
i heard nothing for 4 days and then got the message "when can i collect?" on 6th april.
it then took another 4 days to arrange a collection date, i replied to emails within hours and supplied home and mobile numbers but they chose to communicate by email/ebay messages and took a day or 2 each time to respond
i said any time is fine, just let me know when. i provided my home and mobile phone numbers and address.
they said whenever is good for you
i said today, tomorrow, any day this week, and told them what times i was usually home and again provided my home and mobile phone numbers and address.
then i heard nothing for nearly 2 days so i started an unpaid item dispute, but i just told them ebay had done it because it was now over 7 days and i had not received payment
yesterday in the dispute they asked if they could collect today around 3pm. i said this was fine and again supplied my phone numbers and address
so i stay at home from 3pm until now waiting for them.... 4.30pm comes and no sign of them
i request their contact details through ebay and give them a call to see if they have been delayed
a lady answers the phone and i ask for John, he comes to the phone and i say hi, i just wondered if you were still coming to collect this item from me today? he said my girlfriends been out all day and she's just had some bad news so i can't go anywhere. (yeah whatever!)
i asked why he had not contacted me to let me know, i said i have been waiting for you for an hour and a half and that i had given him my phone number 3 times.
he then replies "i'm not going to stand here and argue with you, keep the f*****g things!" and promptly hangs up
so anyway i have now closed the dispute, and really want to leave negative feedback but i'm pretty sure that i will also get it in return - although i am not sure what for exactly
they only have 13 feedback and only been a member for 2 months
i am also a little concerned because he knows my address and he only lives 10 miles away
what should i do?

It seems to be silly season for newbie buyers. Maybe they've had too much chocolate over the week-end.
From what I've been reading on here, a lot of us are suffering from unfair feedbacks.0 -
why on earth did you close the dispute? I cant understand, re-open it, let them have an unpaid item strike.0
-
Just forget all about it and don't let it get you down.
Although I've not suffered this in relation to ebay, it does amaze me how some people will arrange to do something and get really aggresive if you ask them why they didn't.
They seem to think that the entire world has nothing better to do than hang around waiting for them.0 -

i closed it to get my final value fees back and so that they would get an unpaid item strike0 -
i think i will just leave it, but if they leave me feedback they will be getting a negative in return
just noticed this is my 1000th post  :j0 -
Did they reply through the dispute console?0
-
yes they did reply in the dispute yesterday and said they wanted to collect it today at 3pm
i had the option to close because i no longer wanted to communicate with or wait for the buyer
i got my final value fees back and they got an unpaid item strike0 -
thats ok then, i thought you closed without them getting the unpaid item strike.0
