I like the famous Russian Composer " Ripyourcorsetsoff"Stop! Think. Read the small print. Trust nothing and assume that it is your responsibility. That way it rarely goes wrong.

I get confused about racism. I'm generally pretty colour-blind, but I can't help noticing that black people seem to be better at the 100m sprint than white people. Likewise, a disproportionate number of marathon winners seem to be Ethiopian, and a disproportionate number of chess champions have been Jewish.
Likewise, I don't think that I am sexist, but I have noticed that if you want someone to lift something really heavy you are probably better off looking for a man than a woman. There are no female F1 drivers. Does that represent sexism, or are women just too sensible?
Is it wrong to even mention these things? No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?0 -

Black people are better at sprinting because they tend to have a better muscle to fat ratio. Etheopians are better marathon runners because they train at high altitude, so sea level runs are ridiculously easy for them. Chess is the national pastime in many european countries where there are large Jewish populations (sadly decimated last century).
I would add that many of the best singers in the world are black women...no idea why, but boy they know how to carry a tune..except for Tina Turner oddly, that women would sound terrible in a shower.
Much of what is mistaken foe racism is really just truth and a lack of understanding of other factors.Debt Free! Long road, but we did it

Not strictly true, there have been and are female F1 drivers (just not as we know it Jim)
Lella Lombardi drove in 17 championship Grand Prix in the 70s and scored half a point. Desire Wilson raced in a non championship F1 category which used (at the time) contemporary F1 cars and she actually won a race. Giovani Amati attempted to qualify (failing each time) with Brabham in the early races of 1992 before her funding ran out and she was replaced by Damon Hill (1996 world champion) who only managed to qualify the car twice.
Slightly more recently in the mid 00s there were test or demo drives by Sarah Fisher for McLaren and Katherine Legge for Minardi. Both have raced in Indy Cars which is the top singer seater formula in America where Danica Patrick has been the highest profile female driver and has won a race. Sarah Fisher is also a team owner.
This year we have had Maria de villota earn test and reserve roles with Maurussia, unfortunately she suffered horrific head injuries including losing an eye when she crashed in a tailgate during her maiden test.
Only this week, Susie Wollf who races in the German Touring Cars had her first test at Silverstone for Williams in her role of test driver.
There is also now a female team principle in F1. Monisha Katabolten has recently been promoted as de facto team boss by owner Peter Sauber whose team bears his own name.
There are far less female racing drivers than male in general though possibly because as you put it they are more sensible and peefer shopping to driving cars around in circles at stupid velocities.:www: Progress Report :www:

The OP must be really loving this thread. He's made one post in total on a probably made up subject and he's got MSE's collective left and right wing fascists at each others throats.0

It is discriminatory to accuse newbie posters of being trolls."If you can bear to hear the truth you've spoken

Probably thinking " what I have done"!
I am right wing, but I deplore discrimination, but see it as fascist to not countenance any discussion of differences as "it's racist" .Actually it's just really dumb.
Best response- " Ok meet my mate Francis, he's 6'8 and black, would you like to discuss your thoughts on race with him?"Stop! Think. Read the small print. Trust nothing and assume that it is your responsibility. That way it rarely goes wrong.
