I have, but giving someone access to an account that is in my name is not good practice.
I just wanted to know if it was a rule as it has been known for these guys to say such and such is a rule then find out it isn't at all, I don't like being lied to.0 -
There is no way you would be expected to give a password to JCP staff so they can access your account- that is what a password is intended to stop others doing.
I would report this to the manager because either there is an issue with instructions to staff, a training issue for this member of staff, or just a potential dodgy staff member. If there is some reasonable explanation for the mix up the manager will be happy to explain and shouldn't be surprised that you've thought it best to raise it.0 -

I see the same adviser next time, I have seen before, this was a different adviser, so I'll wait to be asked again, then see what she says but either way it is hard to turn these "requests" down as then you get labeled as difficult.0 -

I think your getting it confused, no front line advisor would ever ask for an email password. We are however having a new tool called universal jobmatch run through monster where advisor will have access to a customers application history...however that is only if the customer agree's to that level of access.0

NO dont give it even when requested to do so they have no legal or lawful right to have access to a personal e-mail account, if sanctioned inform your local MP and appeal and let the press know.0

should have said he was the disability adviser if that makes a difference?0

Makes no differences you don't have to give them your password.
If you get asked again then request to see manager or ask for it to be put in written least that way you can prove that you was asked for private details and take the matter further0 -

no need to be rude, why would I make up such a lie? I have been on this forum for 3 years now, so I think my record speaks for itself, I was not confused or have lied.0
