Just make sure you stick to your timescale and not shabbeys!!!
Some email address i used are:
jackie.scott@abbey.com
debbie.waghorn@abbey.com
customerservices@abbey.com
dont count on a reply but do keep annoying them!!
GOOD LUCK
I did get a response by email from the customerservice@abbey.com address, which I sent my complaint to. Two months ago I sent the request for statements, and they didn't even bother to acknowledge it until I chased them and threatened them with the Information Commissioner. They are now processing but have not given me a time scale. I guess I will have to keep emailing if I still hear nothing.0 -

The same thing happened to me, when I rang Abbey I was told that they could now send a list of charges without sending the 6 years worth of statements so that is why the £10 was returned to me. I was supposed to receive these yesterday but haven't. I chased up today and they have assured me they have sent another copy in todays post.
If you are still worried I would give them a call and get them to confirm.0 -

Im a newb but ive followed everything from this site so far. It seems abbey treated me slightly differently. I sent a letter asking for my statements and they sent me a template letter for me to fill in back with all my details pre - printed on them. Following that i got my statements in two batches but they are not for the full six years. they sent me one batch first for 3 years and said they will let me know wen they can get the others to me. i waited a week and another lot came but in that time i had sent off one claim to them. now the second batch has come im going to add to that claim and try to screw SHABBEY even more. but to tell you the truth i hate them with a passion really. they've made my life hell and im gonna take this all the way with them. ive got what seems to be a standard reply from them but im not gonna bother with that - they have now 5 days to reply or its court time again for them ... cant waitScrimping and saving!0

i noticed last week that abbey were issuing people with letters stating that they were stopping their o/d and were going to collect it from them on july the 1st.i did not receive that letter yet but i was just wondering how many did.
Kev
I havent received this letter yet, but If this is their latest trick then:
1) - They must be worried that they are going to lose so many cases and pay back so much money that they feel they need to bully/threaten people with taking their overdraft away so that people back down and stop their court claim.
2) Talk about shoot yourself in the foot, they will lose so much more money doing this, as they currently take around £15 a month from us for us having the pleasure of their overdraft facility. (lots of money if you times this by the thousands who have overdrafts).0 -

Hi
Fairly new to this so apologies if this has been in a prev thread.
I have started the process of claiming the bank charges that my mum has incurred from abbey.
She has really been stung in charges over the years so thought i'd try an claim some back for her.
Anyway i have sent of the first letter without sending the £10 admin fee, Abbey have wrote back saying they will investigate and will supply the last 12 months statements foc but we will need to send £10 for the archived statements.
I have since sent off the £10 for the other statements.
Only a day after the letter and £10 were posted my mum received a letter from Abbey saying the charges were in the t&c's etc but as a goodwill gesture they will credit her account with just over £700.
Basically all i need to know is do we accept that (it may only be the figure of 12 months charges) or do we await the other statements and proceed to claim more (she really has incurred alot of charges over the last 6 years)
and..If we do pursue more will we jepordise losing the £700 they have offerd?
Any help on this will be appreciated
Thanks
Mark0
