  • Hi,
Please can someone help, I have asked this question many times on other threads but have not recieved any assistance.
I have started my claim via MCOL and Abbey have aknowledged the claim, I have since recieved further charges to my account and have expected charges of £220 next month, am I able to add these to my online claim and if so how? Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Please Please can anyone help me.

About a year ago I split with my ex-partner in a very nasty way. I have had no contact with him and will not have any contact with him. In that year I have been fighting with abbey to get my name of the joint account. Which they kept saying you need to sign this form and so does your ex partner we will write to him to get him in to sign the form. Which in did not!

Now nearly a year later he has run up a huge overdraft on this account and has even gone over it! Now abbey is chasing me for this money even though I have had no dealings with this account since July 2006.

I feel that I should not be held responsible for this debt as it was Abbey that allowed my ex-partner to run this debt up. Abbey are now saying it is going to a debt collection agency as I am unable to pay this debt as my ex left me with £25,000 with debt any way and I am unable to work at the moment as I am seriously ill.

I am worried on what I can do because no one seems to be able to give me advice on this and this is not just effect me but my parents as I had to move back in with them as I had nothing when I left him.

Please please please can any one help and give me advice on this

    Many thanks

abbey took around 5-6 weeks to send my statements which i paid for with a postal order. when they came through they also sent a letter of apology for the time it took and refunded the £10 striaght into my account!:rotfl: :rotfl:
the first of the money started then!
I wish they would cash the cheque, at least then I would know that my statements are on the way and I can then proceed to the next stage. I seem to be stuck in limbo at the minute
:p This is for Abbey :p

    hi all,

i sent my letter giving them 14 days or court 2 weeks ago tomorow but have not herd from them and was wondering if i should go ahead or send another letter as i'm not sure if they even got the last one. i also dont have the money to start with the court yet is there any way i can start and pay later.

    tick xoxo

As soon as the 2 weeks where up i issued the court proceedings because i had allready told them i would do so.

So in my eyes i would get on with it.

    Hi gemstar

Which number did you ring and who did you talk to negotiate your refund. it would be useful to know. I am just about to start my court proceedings .

  • Please can someone help me, I am on the MCOL stage and Abbey has aknowledged my claim, do I have to send anything in paper form to the courts as I have seen from previous threads that you do. If this is the case and I have to send my calculations then I am in spot of bother cos I accidentally deleted the spreadsheet with all my charges plus interest. I can do this again but because i first did it over a week ago the interest charges will work out different, therefore my total claim will differ to that which I have issued on the MCOL site. I have also seen threads where the court is coming back striking it out of court for lack of evidence etc, why would this be.....sorrry its just i'm really scared now.
