    hi

i have asked for the money back and got the "sorry you feel you have to complain etc etc we will investigage and get back to you in 40 days" so not sure which letter to send back to that now, the next one in martins list is if they say no you can't have it! looking through my statements they have often tried to present a cheque more than once and charged both times, 30 quid a go, and if they honer a 5 quid DD its 30 quid, and they wonder why i complain!!!!! they just take whatever money they like!!!

so what do i send them next??

Thanks Julie, Awhh im so glad they have turned up for you! well done you worked hard to get them!!!!

When i sent the letter about failing to provide dates and all requested info that i requested (the letter you helped me with) i sent it to this address:

    Customer Resolution Manager,
    Data Protection Team
    Regulatory Compliance
    Abbey House
    201 Graftons Gate East
    Milton Keynes
    MK9 1AN

I know they recieved it but was it right to send it here?

    Regards
    Hugo

    Hugo,

thats where I sent it to, same as you, I addressed it to Jackie Scott. All the list of transactions/charges that came today came from Bradford. I also sent Bradford a copy of the letter telling them that I would report them.

Funnily enough, a colleague of my hubbie has done hardly any chasing and has got his stuff through the same time as me. I would just keep pestering both Pam Speed at Bradford and Jackie Scott at Milton Keynes, via phone, email and letter.

Let me know if yours turn up.xx

Abbey still haven't provided my bank charge information - it's now over two months since my initial letter and cheque.

The ICO have given Abbey 28 days to respond, so they now have ANOTHER 4 weeks to do nothing.

Complaining to the Banking Ombudsman gives Abbey 8 WEEKS to respond.

So however Abbey play it I won't get any information for at least another 4 weeks; that'll be three months since my initial request.

Should I estimate the charges and send the claim letter?

Keep hassling them by phone, letter and email, email jackie.scott@abbey.com and speak to Bradford as the photocopies of the microfiche seem to come from there. Once they arrive they are really easy to pick out the charges.

I dont really understand it myself, I have only briefly looked at the bundle, as I wanted to get myself familiarised with it while I was waiting on my statements to come through.

I think you can personalise it to what cases are similar to yours. and add anything you feel is relevant, I am also going to put a transcript of Peter Mcnamara (he admits that the charges are used to fund free banking). and any newspapers clippings I can find. There is also an MP from cornwall (havent got his name to hand, its at work) that agrees with the charges being excessive.

Thing is you probably wont need it all as it wont get to the court stage.:j

Hugo, email Pam Speed and complain about the delay. I haven't logged on for a few days and really htought that you would have received them by now. As I told you last week when I complained to Pam Speed about the delay I got a refund of my £10 fee and the charges info turned up within a week.

I haven't sent my letter off yet but will do it on Tuesday once the post offices and bank have reopened.

The only problem I have is that I am in Scotland and the court system is different here. Need to do a search and see what the others in Scotland have done regarding their claim and court
