I had a letter to confirm that they are looking into it & I would hear in 4 weeks. 4 weeks to the day I have had another letter telling me that the investigation is still ongoing & they will contact me within another 4 weeks. Has anyone else had this runaround ? any suggestions gratefully received......0

Advice please.
I have gone through the process of letters and raising a court notification against the Abbey, all pretty swift to be honest.
Received a letter today (10/04/07) dated 04/04/07 from Abbey saying that as a "gesture of good will" they will pay £280 into my account within the next 10 days.I am claiming back £1750 + £450 interest. I called them 1st thing this morning and told them i didnt want it as i have started court proceedings but they told me it would be paid and that it didnt effect the process i had started. i checked my bank this evening and find they have put it in there today. i told them it might jepordise the court process, but theyve gone ahead and done it....... what do i do now. please advise.0 -
I would call MCOL and tell them they have given you partial payment but you want to continue for the rest. Dont sign anything saying you accept the money as full settlement though or this will be a problem.Stick to YOUR timescale. Dont take ANY bull. DONT be intimidated. The law is on OUR side.

Put it in writing to the bank that you have accepted the money in partial payment and without prejudice but will be continuing with your claim for the full amount + interest + court costs through the courts.0 -

You need to send your next letter now telling them you will be taking court action in 14 days if they don't reply to you.0
