Nah, bypassed that and went straight for the geography-teacher-at-the-school-disco style.

    LOL...... I'm still pogo'ing anyway.
A bargain is something you don't need at a price you can't resist.

C'mon, hands up, who has been on to ebay and looked to see how much their old favourite computer of yesteryear is going for?

Oh yes, I remember speccys. They were the tiny things with rubber buttons that needed a thing almost as big as the machine itself just to plug in a joystick. I also remember the poor graphics where big areas of screen were black plus one other colour. Still can't understand why the silly speccy owners didn't get a c64 instead, well here's their chance to find out what they missed out on.;)

    That's fighting talk mate ;)

Nothing wrong with the rubber keys which had 5 or 6 functions per key. Programming it was much akin to playing twister with yer fingers :)
Not everything that's cheap is a bargain

Ultimate play the game rule !!! What about Knight Lore in glorious 3d.!!!
Indeed they did! (they became Rare and used to produce games for the Playstation generation, though I'm not sure if they are still going...)
I still have my Speccy 49k, Interface 1 AND 2, Microdrive and almost complete set of ROM Game carts - if someone ever brought out one of these joystick doohickeys with Speccy stuff preloaded, I'd possibly pay full price!
Ah! Those were the days - when gameplay was more important than flashy graphics...
    Au Res.,
Paul (seriously considering the C64 thing if still available and pondering the possiblities of powering up the Apple //e lurking in the cupboard...)

S'pose having a Vic-20, C-64 and an Amiga makes me a Commodore boy too - though I have had a speccy as well - but it didnt last long.

May have to get one of these for nostalgias sake - saves digging the huge boxes out of my mums loft - Shame theres no Grogs Revenge or Beachhead 1/2.

Nice to see Braybrooks Uridium (..& Paradroid) - what a game - the music still sticks in my mind.

....so many others are springing to mind now.... Strider, IK+, Kickstart, Turriken, Elite, last Ninja, Racing Destruction Set......

As well as the C64 and the Amiga we had a black thing which might have been either a Spectrum or an Amstrad which had two tiny little drive things on it, not much bigger than a USB port, but I think it was tiny tape cassettes that plugged into them. We had a game which involved walking around rooms and also swimming under the sea that was a lot of fun, but the details are vague now :p

Marble Madness was the game that convinced us to buy an Amiga, the graphics capabilities of the Amiga seemed truly awesome at the time ;)
Thanks to all who post constructively.

Just had a memory flood of great moments
Raid over Moscow, Bruce Lee, etc etc getting ready to punch the bull for a bonus :j
I had a ZX81 and C64 but i loved the AMIGA 500 the best SILENT SERVICE what a submarine game that was and IMO that version is better than any modern submarine game around now.

They were bought out by Nintendo, and produced some amazing games for the SNES (Donkey Kong Country) and N64 (Goldeneye anyone?), after which they were bought by Microsoft, and continue to produce original, great games as Rare.
