Does this mean the MIO C510E's software can be used in my MyGuide 3100 because there are no speed cameras on my unit, if so where can I get software from.
Dont want to knacker my unit up though.

My MIO 269 came today. 5 stars to Pentagon GPS ordered minight Monday delivered 9am Wed. http://www.pentagongps.co.uk/ 5 Stars for first class service and delivery! Have to say I am totally delighted with this sat nav, even picked up our VERY rural location that Garmin and Tom Tom have not found as our road is off the beaten track on a private road, but the MIO picked it up immediataly.

    GREAT KIT, GREAT PRICE!:T

Does anyone have any experience of this company?

This link is supposedly for a new version 610t with version 9 software. Will this be the European maps or just upgarded Uk/Ire. You will probably remember that I aready have version 9 map upgrade disc.

This looks a good price though

I bought the Fujitsu-Siemens Pocket L00X as recommended earlier in this thread - had it a month now and I love it! Have used it across the UK and France, and it has a number of useful little additions that I haven't seen before.

Love the MP3 player element as well - my stereo got locked out a couple of weeks ago so I've been using this instead, and you can get a cassette deck adapter for £1 from Poundland that enables you to play the music and SatNav instructions through the stero speakers! Brilliant.

MyGuide GPS 3100 Sat Nav System only £99 at Halfords

I just brought one, in-store............it seems to be a different model, than the one on the Halfords website, or the ebuyer website. The box is Myguide3100, along with the Quickstart guide, but the model is a 3110 with UK/Eire maps.

    Differences (I've noticed):-
    1) There is no sd card provided, but there is a SD/MMC slot, and the unit has 512mb internal memory, pre-loaded with the maps.
    2) It runs a newer version of the software MyGuide6.1 (was 6.0).
    3) There is no mains charger, only in-car adapter.
    4) The supplied cd manual is different to the pdf on the www.myguidegps.com website for the 3100 model, but is the same as the 3300 model (which has 2gb internal).

I had issues with the Postcodes, but its ok now....in case anybody else gets stumped, when you choose to enter a destination address, there is a button for "other city" top RH corner, this then allows Postcode entry.

If you choose the city (mine city had defaulted when the GPS hot-fixed) then you have a Street-finder option. In my case this was fairly spartan as it did not have my street, or my parents, for whom this is a present (I have tom-tom on my pda).

There is still no where to put the stylus.

I have had a play, and have updated the speedcamera's using POI-Warner, and added the National Trust sites (for my dad) using IGO POI Explorer.
  • I know not everyone can take advantage of this one as it's through costco.
    but...
they've got the navman N range in stock currently and the n40i in particular is a great price if you ombine it with their 3 year warranty.
it's coming in at £140.98 which for saying it has full uk mapping preloaded, and also comes with uk speed camera database and all of europe on CD's it's a pretty good package.

    hope this helps someone...
    cheers
