No idea if its any good - quite a good price though for integrated MP3 players and remote.

I haven't really got a clue about sat navs. Ive read the threads and still don't know my tom tom from my elbow, so hope you can help.

I want a cheapo sat nav, doesn't have to sing and dance and just needs to get me to a few places regionally during the 6 weeks hols, so don't fancy splashing out a fortune.

    Any ideas, thanks

I've seen loads of TomTom refurbished GPS flying around the web this week. TomTom is a trusted brand with fast maps.

Got the Tomtom Go 510 at ToysRUs yesterday, reduced to £199 nationwide. Widescreen, full postcode search, maps of Western Europe and GB, Bluetooth phone control including full address book/message functionality (The thing actually reads your incoming SMSs !!) and IPod control.

Went in to buy the new One XL and got this baby for the same price.

With the new TomTom 520 and 720 coming out soon expect to see loads of great deals on the 510 and 710, which are both excellent GPS units

Yes, they've been going for a long time. I got a PocketPC-based satnav system from them four years ago.

They are mapping and 'proper' gps specialists who happen to sell car satnavs.

I got a Tom Tom One XL EU today, naughty I agree, but it was the best deal I could find so don't feel too bad. However, what about add ons? Is there any without going to Tom Tom?

    Thanks

Am I right in thinking that the version 9 dvd we have for the i3 could be used for any other Garmin?

I've been using Garmin CN software since Version 5 with a Streetpilot V3. The CN software can be "unlocked" to work with 2 separate Garmin units, once with the unit the software was supplied with, the second should be a Garmin unit that can autoroute. The internal serial number of the units are used to lock the software to the two GPS units.

I personally currently own a Streetpilot C510 with CN 9 NT Europe software that is unlocked to also work with my Garmin Vista Cx handheld unit.

Hi I've just applied for one - is there a charge for the unlock code that you have to apply for when the cd arrives?

I have a Tom Tom one and have recently bought a Road Angel Navigator 6000 at a really good price.

I was wondering if someone can tell me which one is the best to keep, I will be selling the other to a family member but did not know which was best.
If you go by price the Road Angel was £299 at Halfords and has now been reduced the Tom Tom is always around the £150 mark so if you go by price then the Road Angel is a better sat nav, but I dont really know I would be greatful if someone can assist.

    Cheers
    Steve
