Hi I've just applied for one - is there a charge for the unlock code that you have to apply for when the cd arrives?

It depends. We got ours free as when we registered the i3 last year there had been a map upgrade spo we were entitled to receive it free

Does anyone have any experience of this company?

    http://www.thenavigationcompany.com/products.php?orderby=F_Product_Name&keyword=nuvi%20610&type=&brand=Garmin&gclid=CK7E8IvXxY0CFQjtlAodZj-i6w

This link is supposedly for a new version 610t with version 9 software. Will this be the European maps or just upgarded Uk/Ire. You will probably remember that I aready have version 9 map upgrade disc.

This looks a good price though

I have a Tom Tom one and have recently bought a Road Angel Navigator 6000 at a really good price.

I was wondering if someone can tell me which one is the best to keep, I will be selling the other to a family member but did not know which was best.
If you go by price the Road Angel was £299 at Halfords and has now been reduced the Tom Tom is always around the £150 mark so if you go by price then the Road Angel is a better sat nav, but I dont really know I would be greatful if someone can assist.

    Cheers
    Steve
I would say keep the tomtom on the basis that its cheaper to update for maps and cameras.

    Road angel subscription

Debjay, the Nuvi 610 is UK, the 660 is Europe.

 Well decided that probably want a Garmin with europe street level maps (need ireland and uk but nice to have all if possible!) after hearing locals rave about coverage in southern ireland last weekend.

The Link have an offer code available for the nuvi 250 at £158.99 including postage.

yet the garmin 300 with uk and ireland only is available around £145.00,

What are differences between these and where could additional maps be loaded from?

    Thought I'd decided!!!

Don't if this of any use to anyone, or if it counts as a 'grabbit' I but have just had an email advertising this new 'Snooper Strabo 3 in 1 Sat Nav, Speed Camera Information System & MP3 Player' device. The RRP £249 but there is a special offer price of £199 on the snooper web site. I don't know anything really about Sat Nav so I don't know how this compares with Tom Tom or others, is it any good  ?

It is best not to go for a new sat nav unless it has gone vigorous tests or rated good by the online retailers like amazon, price comparison sites kelkoo,pricerunner.co.uk .The best thing for a new comer is to buy the tom tom 1 or garmin nuvi 310 as both of them are good value for money.Other retailer pentagongps is offering at competitive prices and as well as offer advice. However i have just checked at which .co.uk(free trial) the snooper syrius uk & ireland has got the highest satisfactory rating.Other snoopers are not listed in which guide.

Does the Snooper syrius have the same detection ability as the Snooper sapphire? Do they all pick up mobile cams?:confused:Is there any advantage in just getting a
    Snooper Evolution?

For this price this Sat Nav is the dogs bazzookas, I can recommend it thoughroughly as I had the 268plus but I lost it and wasnt covered by insurance to get a new one, I originally paid £320 and never thought I could afford to replace it but this site is selling the next model up with a remote control and Full Uk & European maps for only £129.99!!!!
    The 268 is ONLY £109.99.
This Sat Nav is so easy to use and it is a no brainer at the price. It had found many shortcuts where we live that I would never have known about and has saved us hours in journey times. BTW its got an MP3 player built in too and is very easy to use if you have problems fiddling around with little screens as the controls are so easy to use.
    Hope this helps someone:D
    I truly recommend it
