  • Good morning, I hope everyone had a lovely day yesterday.

As usual we all ate too much and scoffed too much chocolate. :D

The boys came up in the morning, then we all went to see my mum and dad, the boys went to have their lunch with the ex then I came home and cooked lunch for the two of us here.

More cooking for me today, the boys are up for the day and staying till tomorrow. My gammon is boiling in a huge pan - I"m attempting honey glazed gammon with all the trimmings.

I was completely spoilt as usual. OH got me a gorgeous perfume set and a wireless keyboard for my Ipad.

I"m quite impatient now, I just want this year over and done with so we can set off with a clean slate. When I have more time, I"m going to sit down and think of all the things I"d like to achieve next year but before that, tomorrow"s going to be an Ebay day seeing as its free listing :D

I was given a Ne*t voucher for Christmas so I"m going to see if I can use that to make and extra payment of my Ne*t account :D

Right, I'd better get cracking with the cooking or I'll have four hungry men here before long.

Have a good day everyone x

  • Hi Elly, nice to see you :D

I hope everyone had a nice Christmas. It's been a hectic few days here but very enjoyable!

The boys were here last night and we had a lovely gammon dinner. As usual I cooked enough for ten so BF and I had leftovers for lunch today. I've got three meals worth of turkey, some stuffing and the stock leftover from cooking the ham stashed in the freezer and enough veg in the fridge to make a lovely bubble and squeak tomorrow :D

I've got all the stuff I want to eb*y here next to me on the sofa, I just need a kick up the b*m to get me started :D

I'm hoping to make enough to cover my car tax, due in March.

We didn't win the lottery last night so I'd better get cracking on these debts, and for that I need a plan, I just haven't thought of it yet :D

I know nobody ever sticks to them but I've been thinking about my New Years resolutions this year and most of them are exactly like last years :rotfl::rotfl:

    1. Pay off as much debt as possible without racking up any more
    2. Lose weight (again!).
    3. Enter competitions in the hope of winning something nice
    4. Next year I want to walk to the top of Snowdon at least twice
    5. Walk a lot more.

I'll probably think of a few more before Tuesday!

I'm going to get cracking now and list a few items, I'll probably be back later though, I'm hopelessly addicted o this site :o

  • I've been wanting peace and quiet all week, now I'm bored :D

BF is out this evening, but he shouldn't be late. I've listed everything I had on e*ay and already have a few watchers so hopefully that's a good omen.

I've just paid my Next voucher off my bill which brings it down to £235.29. I nearly didn't do it but figured that I won't be buying any new stuff till I lose some weight anyway!

I have a sealed money tin I bought at Poundland and I've just emptied the change from my purse into it. I'm also going to deposit any £2 coins in here whenever I can. Whatever I have in here a week before Christmas next year will be my sales spends :D

  • Hi CHQ, just caught up on your diary after couple of weeks laid up with a nasty virus.

You sound like me, really keen to start 2013- fingers crossed for a money saving, debt busting year!

    GLx
  • Hi GL, hope you're feeling better by now. There are some really nasty viruses out there at the moment. My DS2 hasn't been "right" since the Friday before Christmas.

I'm at work today, and if I'm honest its been good to get away from all the food and drink in the house. I'm working today, tomorrow and NYE, then off till next weekend again :T

I won't be doing nothing though because we'll have BF's two boys with us till the Friday which means more cooking!

I've had a few NSDs but I don't think these really count as the house is overflowing with food and there's no need to buy anything. BF bought some bread this morning, and we've definitely decided to invest in a chest freezer next year, which will cut down on the "topup" shops, because no matter how hard you try its really difficult to pop out for a loaf and come home with "just" a loaf!

I've decided that this year, I need to get back to being "me". I need to start making more of an effort in all areas of life, but the most important for me is to lose about 3 stones and start liking what I see in the mirror again. I started well today, I've brought lunch in with me, but because I'm the last to have lunch today, I've succumbed to the biscuit box one of our customers brought us in for Christmas. These were Dairy Milk biccies, loads of lovely chocolate :D

I also painted my nails yesterday for the first time in soooo long. Only a little thing, but its made me feel better - I need to find my "girly" side again :rotfl:

Tea today will be something "eggy" probably an omelette because we have loads of eggs left over and I might treat myself to a jar of pesto to have for my lunches this weekend.

Went to see my parents yesterday which meant a lovely 2 mile walk that did us both a load of good and blew all the cobwebs away.

I hope everyone else is having a good day x

  • I've just decided I'm going to try the Special K diet. The only snag is I don't have any, so it's going to start off tomorrow as the Weetabix diet, just till I pop to the shops at lunchtime :p

I'm desperate to do something, I feel so rubbish at the moment but I need a huge dose of willpower

Good news is I have a few bids on eb*y :T:T:T

  • Good luck with the diet, I usually start mid-jan following DHs birthday.

I really need to update my diary and signature to reflect my new year, new start.

Glad to hear eBay is going well.

    GLx
  • Good evening everyone, hi GL :D

I'm ashamed to admit it, but the diet didn't make it past lunchtime :rotfl:

There are too many temptations here at the moment, especially the huge box of Thorntons my mum and dad gave me :o

I had to work till 3.00 today ( which kept me away from the chocs ), but I'm off now till Saturday. BF's just gone to pick up his two youngest who'll be staying with us till Friday, so that means no night out tonight. I can't really afford to go out anyway so it's not much of a sacrifice really!

The weather's been awful here today but no floods thank goodness. I hope no MSE ers have been flooded this week.

I've been toying with starting a new diary all day today, but I think I'll stick with this one and just get cracking on these debts once and for all. We just need a plan :D

First to go will be Ne*t, hopefully followed by Debenh*ms before the end of 2013. I have three Eb*y items with bids which will hopefully go towards my car tax fund.

I suppose I'd better go and make myself something to eat, but just in case I don't post again tonight I'd like to wish everyone a Happy New Year and here's to busting those bills
