Another NSD today but I've had help......I'm well and truly snowed in!
We're ok for most things but if I'm not able to work tomorrow, we'll have to get to the shops the old fashioned way. If its like yesterday and there's no bread, I'll just get ingredients for the bread maker.
I'll also have to go and make sure mum and dad are ok. It's not far, only a mile each way and the walk will do me good
Got my Deben*ams bill today, so I can update my totals when they've all come in.
Hope everyone else is having a good day and keeping warm xNext £0.00 Aqua £470.00

Glad your safe and warm in the snow. Its lovely not to have to go out or spend isn't it. Keep safe on those travels, hope your parents are OK.

Morning

Well, the good news is I made it into work.
The bad news - I've been here since 7.45am!! I couldn't get my car out, but BF has to drive past here on his way to work, so I cadged a lift in his van. I'll have to leave a bit earlier than usual, but at least I'm here. Although I don't know if anyone else will turn up.
The main roads aren't too bad if you take care, but the back roads are terrible. I think we must have had about 3-4" of snow yesterday.
More bad news - I'll have to phone the log man tonight, we're going to need another load to see us through to Spring. Thats another £65
I'll also have to spend on a few bits today, we need bread, butter and milk........so not too bad really.
I'd better go and start opening up, just in case we have any customters brave enough to come out in the snow.

We've finally made it - it's payday tomorrow ( at long last ) and I can make some more payments

I'm off this week till Saturday so I've been trying to do a few jobs around the house. I washed the car yesterday and sanded a few window frames. Today I was going to do a bit of painting, but I really cba today, don't know why!
I've loads to do tomorrow though, so I need to get my act together.
Things to do tomorrow:-
1. Pick up two new tyres.
2. Go to B&M for some moisture traps
3. Go to pound shop for cleaning stuff/toiletries
4. Buy an old fashioned scrubbing brush & a small axe.
5. Go to Far*foods and Al*i
The axe is for a wooden pallet we've scrounged that needs chopping up into firewood, just in case anyone's wondering
We've done really well for the last two weeks and managed on next to nothing. We've proved we can do it, so if we do it again this month the surplus can go towards the car tax
I read on another thread that its free listing on Eb*y this weekend, so I need to make sure I don't forget about it this time
Hope everyone else is having a good day - it's snowing again here!Next £0.00 Aqua £470.00

It's time for this months update. I've decided that as well as updating my signature I'm going to write them all down in a post after payday:-
New Balances:-
1. Ne*t. 211.13
2. Deben*ams 1,228.14
3. Nationwide 2,613.91
4. Halifax 3,115.83
5. Loan 12,278.00
Total payments made so far this month £445.54
I'm left with £104 till the end of the month. Out of that, I have two birthdays and Valentines Day to pay for!
I got my new tyres, and paid cash for them, so I may be skint but I haven't added to the debt
It's free listing on Eb*y this weekend so I've just spent an hour listing new stuff and relisting the old stuff. I've had enough now so I'll finish listing the remainder tomorrow night. I've listed a couple of things I don't really want to sell, but needs must! I have an 18th and a 21st o buy for this year, and another graduation
NSDs since payday - 1
Days without buying fancy coffees since payday - 1
The logs arrived the other day - BF did good this time, not only were they £10 cheaper but we got an awful lot more for the money :T
I'm going to update my signature now, then treat myself to a free glass of wine (I was given a bottle by someone at work!)
Hope everyone is having a good weekend

Hi CHQ, hope you've had a good weekend. Why do they go so quickly?
Good news on the deal you got for wood. Can't wait til we move and hopefully get a wood burner.
Hope the snow has cleared for you.
Good idea to write your balances down each payday - think I might pinch that idea if that's OK.
Why to Mondays cone around so quickly? Never mind, hopefully Fridays will come round as quickly.

Morning everyone, hi GL

I thought I'd update while I get the chance. I'm at work, but its deadly quiet, absolutely no one about.
Not really sure why, because I have even less money than I had last time I posted, but I'm in a very good mood today. I've cleared all the backlog at work over the weekend so I'm on top of things here - that makes a huge difference, and I'm trying to think positive about the money side - things can only get better!
Little bit of good news yesterday, the log man only wanted £40 for the logs, not the £55 I was expecting, so the extra can buy a bag of coal
I've had a few spends since I last updated, but all necessary:-
Moonpig (Valentines Card) 3.59
Ebay (Valentines Gift for BF) 12.99
Books (dad's birthday) 10.00
Voucher (brother's birthday) 20.00
Total spent - £46.58 which leaves me with approx £57 in the bank till payday next month:eek: and £100 in my savings account.
I might have to top-up the car with diesel before the end of the month, which would account for another £20 but other than that I can't think of anything else. The joint account is fine, all the bills paid etc.
I'll be £120 better off from April, and that'll make a huge difference.
I also listed a few bits on Eb*y this weekend, so fingers crossed they sell, I have a few watchers
Just remembered, I have to take my dad to hospital at the end of the week for a camera thingy (can't remember the proper name for it) so I might have to top up the car sooner than planned. Never mind, can't be helped!
NSDs since payday - 2
Days without buying fancy coffees since payday - 3
I'm not going to start counting days till next payday or I'll drive myself mad

Back again !
Went for a walk in my lunch hour and scrounged a few more pallets for firewood. I'll ask BF to pick them up tomorrow (he has a van!). My little axe will pay for itself at this rate and I won't have to buy any more firelighters
Still haven't finished the sack of potatoes we bought before Christmas, so tonight's meal is baked potatoes with chinese style ribs.
Still no bids on Eb*y
