  • Today went from bad to worse..........Ds3's bus caught fire on the way to college AND my kettle broke!!

Everyone on the bus was ok thank goodness, but my kettle's had it.

Dad was much better tonight, we just need Friday over now.

Didn't get my chocolate in the end so today was a NSD.

Will probably have to replace the kettle at some point. I have to laugh about it lol....or I'll cry :rotfl::rotfl:

Hope everyone else had a good day x

  • You've got a lot on your plate CHQ, glad to hear your dad was better last night, hope Friday comes quickly for you and good news comes your way.

Hope your kettle is working now or youve managed to borrow one - no caffeine fix would be a nightmare!

Glad DS is safe and well.

  • Plodding away :A

GL- one of my purchases when I was spending was a Tassimo Coffee machine, so I'll be ok for my caffeine fix. BF on the other hand loves his cuppa, so he'll be having withdrawal symptoms by tomorrow morning. We'll just have to do it the old fashioned way and boil some water in a saucepan till we get a new one.

  • Good evening :D

Another NSD and yet another bombshell!

DS2 just left, he's dropped out of Uni. Well actually, he hasn't been a student since Sept but he's kept it to himself all that time. I knew something wasn't right but he never said a word. I'm really upset to think he's carried all that with him since the summer and didn't think he could tell anyone. We had a few tears but its all out in the open now and he knows I'm 100% behind him. The "field trip" money was to pay his rent on the student digs and I think the guilt over accepting my money, knowing I'm struggling made him come clean, so there is a silver lining to being skint after all :D

I'm having a huge glass of wine now and a bar of chocolate, bu**er the diet!

I'm wondering what else can go wrong!! I haven't mentioned it here but last month DS1 got caught speeding, he's only just passed his test and will probably lose his licence :(

I'm hoping we've had our share of disasters and all goes well for dad tomorrow :)

Still no e*ay bids but I spose it's early days yet.

Other than that its been a good MSE day. I hope everyone else had a good day x

  • Wasn't sure about posting this, but after the tests on Friday, they're 99% certain my dad has cancer. I can't even bear to type the word.

I should've gone to work today but couldn't face it so I took a day's leave, went up to parents house and cleaned the kitchen. I probably just got in the way!

I have to say 2013 hasn't been the best so far :(

Not a NSD today because we had a takeaway, but its back to the straight and narrow tomorrow (promise). I can't let myself go off the rails now.

I also bought some bicarbonate of soda to clean mum's cooker, then left it at home, so I'll use that next time ( I watched Superscrimpers! ). I've just put orange juice in my cup of tea so it's probably just as we'll I didn't go to work today:o

I've just had a look on eb*y, one item sold for 8.99, 6 items unsold. Will post on monday. I'll wait till the next free listing day and stick the unsold items on again.

Had a thought about doing the postcode lottery, but thought better of it, the money's best off staying in my purse!

I hope everyone else has had a better week x

  • Yesterday was a NSD, but I've failed miserably today :o

I bought a pack of sausages (£2.69) that I didn't really need because I fancy a sausage omelette for tea, and a bar of Galaxy chocolate just because I needed chocolate (yes, you CAN need chocolate!).

Saturday's post brought a letter from Aqua offering to increase my credit limit which was politely turned down.

Today, so far I've made about £40 on Eb*y with a couple of hours to go, so hopefully I'll get a couple more bids (fingers crossed).

So, a bit of a mixed bag today, but nothing has been added to the total, so that has to be good.

Hope everyone else had a good day x
