Good evening from a very tired and completely skint Chocaholic

Took my dad to see my gran today. She's 102 years old and in a nursing home about 50 miles away. She's brill and I hope I've inherited the "living to a hundred" gene cos I know I've inherited the shopping gene from her!
I haven't spent anything today, dad paid for lunch, but I'm down to my last few pounds till payday which is next Friday. I really can't wait to get this year over with
Mum and dad have been having a clear out, so I have a few bits to Eb*y. I just don't know if I'll list them tomorrow or wait till Christmas and sell them as unwanted gifts. I know it's not technically true but I don't see the harm in it if someone gets a bargain. Besides, most of the bits were gifts at one time or another. I know this because I bought a couple of them! :rotfl:
I have a load of things I need to do tomorrow so I need to get my act together:-
1. Finish writing Christmas cards
2. Make a list of stuff we need to buy before Christmas
3. List a few items to sell
4. Do some cleaning
I hope everyone else had a good day xNext £0.00 Aqua £470.00

Haven't updated for a few days, basically because I feel like I'm fighting a losing battle this week.

I've had to put stuff on the cc because I've run out of money and have my brother and SIL coming for dinner on Thursday. I don't get paid till Friday so we can't do the big food shop till then.
I'm usually quite positive about it all but for some reason today I just want to curl up and disappear!
I'll be back tomorrow with a plan of action

Still plodding along! We had an early payday this month which is good cos I've been struggling this month, but bad because it means January is a very long month.

Had a few sales on Eb*y this week which brought in about £40 so far for my car tax fund. I've also taken a few photos today with the intention of listing a few items over Christmas which should hopefully bring in a little bit more
It's been an eventful couple of days here. I had my brother and SIL here last night for a meal and they were staying over. I was super organised, the food was planned down to the second and the house spotless. I even lit my Christmas Yankee candle so the whole place looked lovely and Christmassy with my posh tablecloth and best cutlery!
Half an hour before they arrived, DS3 rolled up with a mate and a puppy in a cardboard box - my Christmas pressie from him. He knows I'd love a pup but I explained to him that I can't afford one at the moment and asked him to take her back to the farm she came from ( not a puppy farm, but his friends home, a working farm so this wasn't a problem) - then I noticed she had fleas! Soooo, when brother and SIL arrived I was going all round the house, on my hands and knees, with the vacuum cleaner, making sure none of the little bu**ers had jumped off onto my carpet.
Now if you knew me, you'd know that this is my worst nightmare! I'm not OCD but I have a huge phobia of bugs, fleas and germs of any kind, so I've hoovered and polished the entire house three times and cleaned the kitchen and bathroom floors with bleach. Oh yes, and I've changed all the beds! I only saw one offending bug and I'm not actually sure what it was
Then, just before we were about to eat our main course, BF reached up into the cupboard next to the cooker for a wine glass.........and dropped it! I had to sift through the rice before serving to make sure no glass had fallen into it
A day that started so well ended up a complete shambles, but we had a lovely evening, it was so good to see them. BF also managed to drop a beer bottle ( he wasn't even drunk!). It'll be a relief to go back to work tomorrow :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
Sorry for the rambling post, but I haven't seen anyone all day. BF is off somewhere doing his Christmas shopping, so I've had no one to talk to
I'll be back later to update my totals for this month. It's not going to be good as my Debenh**s account has gone up

Hi Loz :j
Just updated my totals, feel a bit better one's gone up but the others have come down.
The pup was really cute actually, very tempted to keep her but common sense prevailed ( there's a first time for everything!). Got a really lovely text from DS3 this morning saying sorry and he hadn't thought about the cost side of things. I think his heart just ruled his head so here's hoping he's learned to think about the cost of things before jumping in feet first........probably not though :rotfl:
Still driving BF bonkers looking for bugs so I've been catching up on the diaries trying to keep my mind off it! My wicked side was hoping he'd carry bugs to the ex's house, but then my good side took over and reminded me that karma can be nasty when you wish bad things on others, so I put that thought straight out of my head
:D
I'm back to work tomorrow for two days then I'm off till Saturday again. Just got a surprise call from a slightly inebriated DS1 (it's ok he's 24) to tell me he's having a great time at his works party tonight. Really funny listening to him pretending to be sober :rotfl:
Hope everyone has a good weekend xNext £0.00 Aqua £470.00

I'm off to work in a bit.
My lunch is made and I'm taking my diet coke fix with me today in my water bottle ( I only had a large bottle in the fridge) so I hope it stays fizzy.
I have a few eb*y parcels to post at lunchtime otherwise if all goes according to plan it should be a NSD, so please wish me luck

Just got home from work and am not a happy bunny at all!
It seems my employers want us to take on extra duties for no extra pay. These duties aren't in my contract of employment nor are they in my job description. Im on a permanent contract, am I right in thinking that they can't just change things without discussion?
I'm really angry tonight because this has just been dropped on us today and I can't speak to my line manager till after Christmas now so I'll be stewing over this all week :mad::D
Otherwise managed a NSD today and had a £10 win on the lottery which I shared with BF cos we go halves
I'm sure I've seen an employment thread here somewhere. I'm going to see if someone there can tell me what's what.
